It is difficult for us. I am self employed, so don't get holiday pay. and my fiancee is a teacher, so has limited vacation time. Once we get our NOA2 we will have more of an idea of a timeline, but right now we are, as everyone here, still waiting. COME ON USCIS!!

Timeline

Who of the September filers is thinking about visiting or be visited by her/ his fiance in the States while the K1 proces is going on?

She is not going to come here to the US again until it is with the Visa and it is for good. But I am going to Japan to visit her and her family in November. We are going to take lots of pictures for evidence and I am bringing all of the papers that she will need from me for her interview.

Do not forget that at the Consulate Interview we have to provide more evidence of a continuing relationship. They are specifically looking for more recent stuff from after the time we filled the petition since evidence from before the petition should have been included with the petition as evidence of having met in person.

Same as ameribrit. My fiancee won't be able to visit until everything is said and done when he can move over here. :s and i'm broke as all hell from my last vacation with him(3 months in summer). Which really, if it takes only 6-7 months that's the soonest we seen each other yet in between trips. It took me two years to save up for my last trip and a year and a half for the first one!

08/31/10: Mailed I-129f package via Express USPS to Lewisville TX.

09/01/10: Forwarded to Dallas from Lewisville.

05/25/11: Mailed part 1 of Packet 3

Exactly. Some here have more disposable income than others. Me and Mel1990 are going through a low fraud consulate, so having not visited our partners since filing won't be a big deal. Proof of ongoing relationship does not just include going to see one another. We have plenty of Skype logs e-mails and cards sent to one another. Most of the time London doesn't even ask for these, but we have them if needed.

Going to visit one another isn't a problem. There is a chance that you may be in the system when you go through POE, so be sure to take a copy of your NOA1, and proof of ties back in Germany.

I doubt i even have my NOA 1 til then ! But other than that i have more then one reason to go to the states. My Grandmother is Us Citizen and had a ruptured brain aneurism =/ .. It is just normal I wanna go see her..

I dont have a lot of ties, but I try my best, .. and I dont think they actually flag you in the system, .. the stories read and told before never really showed that kinda,..it is what you make out of it :)

I dont think I will have any issue

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother. So if questioned, "who are you staying with whilst in the USA?" at POE, you would be able to say, your Grandmother, and they would let you on your way.

For me i would have to say that i am visting my Fiancee, which is perfectly fine, but would probably be followed up by more questioning at POE. Such as, "what ties do you have back home, to make you go back?" and "exactly how long you will be in the country?"

Above all, Never lie at POE. It could come back to bite you in the butt, as missrepresentation.

If you do't have your NOA1 yet, then i'm sure you will get it this week. How soon will you be travelling?

I'm going in a couple of weeks (I'm the USC) and he's coming for Christmas, then I'm going again in March for his birthday (and hopefully interview, wouldn't that be nice!?!) Luckily I've got miles so the trip in a few weeks is a reward flight, but basically I'm just going in debt... We lived together for a year before he had to leave and being apart is just too hard. I have a BA visa, might as well use it!
