September 2010 K1 Filers

I have called countless times. I've spoken to the Tier 2 people many times. I've placed an expedite request because of the Japan earthquake/tsunami/meltdowns. I contacted both of my senators and my congressman. I've contacted the Ombudsman. I have also emailed the USCIS National Headquarters. I have done everything I am legally allowed to do.

So far nothing is working. I was especially upset when my expedite request was just flat denied. Japan has some serious problems right not. Because I filed an expedite request they will not allow me place another service request until mid April.

I do not mean to point my anger and frustration at anyone here. I am just in desperate need to vent my despair.

That sounds terribly hard. The wait after 6 months is absolutely a killer, and some days are just HARD (ok every day is, but some days are especially hard). Plus the Japan stuff makes it all the more difficult, I'm sure. I think they are real vermin for denying your expedite request, especially considering you are in your 7th month and all. Hang in there - I am crossing my fingers for you!

I had already given up on today because it was after 6 pm in Vermont and I thought that they were done for the day.

I cannot describe the relief. Now its on to the next phase.

Anyone else notice that there seem to be a lot of approvals the last few days of each month? Maybe a lot more of us get lucky. How ironic would it be to hear on April fool's day.

APPROVED!!! Just yesterday I was crying out of "saudades" for my fiancee... today I spilled tears of joy! I know its not over yet and that this is just the first milestone in the process ahead, but I have to share the good news!

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE... if anything I highly encourage you to be active with your case!

If you are outside of "normal processing times" (which is about 6 months right now), contact USCIS, contact your senator, contact your congressman!

Thank you to many of you who have helped me get through these days with your own messages of success - I hope this helps someone stay positive for another day too.

I updated my timeline, but its not showing up yet for some reason...I will continue to do so along the way.

On March 30, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Congrats mate, glad you have yours after a long wait... your approval gives me hope as we are the 23rd of Sept 2010 so only a day behind, i hope i wake up tomorrow with it approved

US TOO! I couldn't believe when I opened the email! I don't know if it was just our time or if 2 senators and an expedite approval helped, but I don't care. We're APPROVED!!!!! I just hope they keep the speed going so more people get this great email soon as well!
