6 months for us tomorrow too...we placed a service request last tuesday. We are thinking that if we dont hear anything by friday we are calling cus that will be a month since our case was assigned to an adjudicator. We were hoping for some news this week!

6 months for us tomorrow too...we placed a service request last tuesday. We are thinking that if we dont hear anything by friday we are calling cus that will be a month since our case was assigned to an adjudicator. We were hoping for some news this week!

How were you able to even get a service request so early? :o

How were you able to even get a service request so early? :o

finally got someone who would do it for us! We called a lot and finally was able to put one in. It seems to all depend on who you get on the phone. If i were you I'd keep on calling until you get one. 6 months for us is too long.

Just got this back from the Obudsman Liason:

Good afternoon,

There are limitations with the posted processing times that we are working to address. We currently post updated processing times in the middle of each month; however, because it takes time for us to validate the data, the processing times refer to what was in effect (generally) 45 days earlier. For example, the most recent processing times were posted to the USCIS website on March 14, but they are accurate as of Jan. 31. So, as of Jan. 31, the processing time for I-129Fs was 5 months – this would bring us back to August 31. Unfortunately, for your case, this means that your petition is still within normal processing times.

YAY!! Congrats!

On another note, I have just written a polite but scathing letter to USCIS/VSC about the handling of our petition. We received a completely nonsensical and very long 2 page letter from them denying our expedite request (the day before they approved our petition, go figure). In it was all the lies and b.s. they had told us for the whole 5 months (e.g. "our processing times are updated weekly on the website,"...and so, so many other lies). Seriously, the letter made no sense. Since we got our NOA2, I want to mail them a detailed letter, just for the record, about how inaccurate their response was, because I am still angry about what they have done to us September filers and I ultimately want to change things. The only thing that's holding me back is the fact that I will have to deal with USCIS again in the AOS phase. But it won't be the VSC, will it? Maybe it doesn't matter - I might still be known as a trouble-maker? Do I dare mail it?
