That's awesome! Congrats on the NOA2! Gives hope for the rest of us September filers.

I guess this confirms that these notices can come any time of day or night...My NOA1 email/text came at 2am. Which means I have been sleeping with my phone...

03/17/11 NOA2 approved

06/06/11 Interview. Visa approved. Told we'll get visa in 7-10 days. Lies.

07/12/11 Visa in hand

07/15/11 Arrival in the U.S.

08/03/11 NOA for I-485

08/29/11 Biometrics

10/17/11 Greencard interview. Approved.

I just checked my phone and got a text from them saying that my case has been updated! I got so excited then I checked my email really quick and found this:

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On February 23, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I AM BEYOND HAPPY!! I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT! :D :D :D

There are a few approvals in my batch(group of petitions with NOA1 Sept. 10, 4 out of 10. And there's a RFE today for another case.) Oh well... :P

October 3, 2010- joined VJ going bonkers waiting....

March 4, 2011 NOA2 after a long 177 days waiting ( no text email or onliine update.. still says in review)

March 10, 2011 NVC received and issued LND#

March 12, 2011 NOA2 hard copy received

March 17, 2011 we are at London.. packet 3 sent out

March 18, 2011 packet 3 sent back to London

Thanks mj-nj and congrats to, girl20. I hope that all September filers, especially our group, get their NOA2 very soon.

The most thanks has to go to my wonderful Fiancee, Crystal. Without her perseverance i think we would still be waiting now.

For those interested, we did the following;

  • Put in a service request, the day after our five month mark
  • Got both our Senator and Congressman's offices to follow up on our service request
  • E-mailed VSC
  • E-mailed USCIS Headquarters for Service Center Operations
  • E-mailed the Ombudsman
  • And if it had gone any longer, we were just about to get the media involved

There is no good reason why tax paying US Citizens should be waiting so long to get their NOA2. VSC need to put more adjudicators on the job of I-129F Petitions. And i am sure that in the coming months they will get caught up again. It was just bad luck that all of us here got caught up in the whole TPS thing.

We trust in God that there was a reason fo the long wait, and are looking forward to moving on from here. And at least now we get to have a warm outdoor wedding day.

I tried to put ub a service request but they told me to call back next week if nothing happens, Sent email to senator but no response yet. I guess I need to be more agressive.

7/18/2010 - I flew to Trinidad and met for the first time

~ Spent two weeks, one of which was in Tobago

9/9/2010 - Mailed I-129F to Texas via Express mail

9/15/2010 - NOA1 Date

I am glad your efforts paid off. As I have been telling everybody here for months, being passive does not work. If you want your right to your NOA2 to be respected by these bureaucratic knuckleheads, you need to enforce your right and be very aggressive about doing so.

Can you give us the specific e-mail addresses you used?

BTW it was not bad luck that got us caught up in this TPS garbage. It was a short sighted president, who time and time again looks at his pet projects through blinders and does not see or does not want to see the big picture of the harm these badly thought out projects will do. Frankly, I am amazed that a successful corporate lawyer like him would be so dismally bad at running a country.
