Right, but to expect 23 in a day every day is unrealistic. I-129F petitions are not all they work on.

I129f is all they should work on. These petitions involve the interests of American citizens. The rest do not.

I am really happy for you that you made it through nightmare 1 (CSC) and nightmare 2 (NVC) and will soon be rid of nightmare 3 and this whole horrible trip through hell.

I have a different perspective, as someone still struggling t make it through nightmare 1 and fighting bureaucratic idiots who are determined to make it as long and as painful for me as possible.

So please don't mind if I am a little more cynical than you are.

You will make it through the nightmare, though. There's no question about it. I don't blame anyone here for being cynical and frustrated. This process is entirely too long. From my NOA2, I will have waited over 4 months just to get my interview. There's nothing right about that. So I don't use your anger against you, I just want you to have realistic expectations. I know you want 23 approvals a day, but it's not going to happen. I wish it would, for your sake and for the sake of everyone else waiting, but it just won't.

I am not sure how the consulate works in Russia when it comes to scheduling interviews. I hope the NOA2 wait is the longest wait you have in this process because you seem miserable every single day of it. It must be exhausting.

Never let it be said that California does not motor on ahead of us. They just got in a whole bunch of approvals for THE END OF SEPTEMBER.

So they are no longer a month ahead of us. They are now SIX WEEKS ahead of us while we are stuck in neutral with NO END IN SIGHT!

Oh, I agree. I'm just saying CSC isn't always "motoring along"... there have been a handful of days this month where nobody's heard anything from CSC at all.

Gotcha :) Yep, yourself you know how the things are. Good luck with the rest of ur journey, almost there :)

The only thing makes me still not to free fall in to doom mode is that its takes quite less time to schedule interview in Moscow. According to updates from other russian forum somewhat a month if you act fast.

Seems like calling them doesnt make a difference for us, once they move - they move, but before that moment comes we live in a ocean of uncertainty.... :bonk:

I feel like the reason there are no approvals after the 14th is because they are probably like 'oh we approved a lot on Valentine's day so lets take a break for this week'

I called for the first time today. I tried to place a service request but was of course denied. At least the guy was somewhat polite. He told me that the current processing date for Vermont is August 21, 2010. So they are 26 days behind. He then told me to wait until March 15 to call back. I will call back next week to see if they will try to brush me off again, if they do then I will request to talk to the second tier people.

At least there has been a little activity from Vermont today. But at this point, I really do not expect anything from these government hacks.

Don't waste your time with the goons on tier one, ask for your call to be escalated to tier two.

That's excellent. Once the NOA2 comes, things will fly by. I'm sure some people in this thread will get an interview date before mine.

Actually, they do process more than 26 I-129Fs a day. VJ is just a tiny fraction of USCIS receipts. If you look closely on USCIS at the National Volumes & Trends and take September, for instance, you'll see around 1800 receipts for I-129F at VSC. VJ has only 111 members in Igor's List for September. I am sure that if one day we see 20 NOA2s and the other day only 2, that doesn't mean they're sleeping. They are still working.

As for calling, we haven't called yet, we're giving them more time. I hope we can get it by the end of the month. Otherwise we're contacting senator, congressman and whatever is left there to contact.

I already know all of that. And I also know this: If Vermont is averaging 3 VJ members a day, a generous number considering that they have actually been slower, and if you are #150 on Igor's List, that means it will take them 50 working days to get to you. At 20 working days a month, that is 2 1/2 months. And #150 is somewhere in mid September.

So, as you can see, Vermont is sliding backwards, and sliding rather quickly. At this rate, by the summer, their backlog will be 9 to 10 months.

Am I the only one who sees a processing crisis that is spiralling out of control?

You should stop 'doing the math' using Igor's List as the most trustworthy source. Take my word for it: Feb. 11, 2011 - 3 petitions, including a Sept. filer, on Igor's List. Checking USCIS receipt no. of a friend and rec. no. to her left and right, I discovered other 20 NOA2s for Sept. 1 NOA1. Stop making these assumptions based on Igor's List. You're going to annoy yourself even more. That, my friend, is not only useless, but also unhealthy for this process!

I know Igor's List is not the best source, but it is the only one we have. It would be nice if USCIS would post daily statistics on their website instead of useless 2 month old statistics, but the word nice does not seem to be in their copy of the dictionary.
