This is assuming that they are moving quickly enough to get one month of filings approved in one month, but that does not seem to be the case. Last Thursday, they approved ZERO VJ members, 3 on Friday, 1 yesterday, and so far today the big "Z" once more.

This is not progress. This is moving backwards, the only direction the Vermont Disservice Center is capable of moving.

VJ members that actively update their timelines make up an incredible minority of petitions at the service centers. Just because Igor's doesn't show progress does not mean there isn't any.

Unfortunately, it is our only measure of progress. I would love a bigger sampling to get a more accurate picture of what is happening, but this small sample is all that we have.

While it is our only measure of progress, it is such a small sample size that it can't be dependable. Since it relies on so many factors (being a member at VJ, actually updating your timeline, etc) there's no reason to assume that since Igor's list isn't updated, that VSC hasn't approved any petitions that day.

But why is California (according to Igor's list) so far ahead of Vermont? Can we attribute all of this to sampling error?

It fluctuates. When I first applied, Vermont was far ahead.

Yeah, well right now it is fluctuating in the wrong direction, down the drain.

When the New Year came, I had high hopes that the stupidity and incompetence that went on in 2010 would finally be over. Instead, it has gotten worse.

well let's all remember not to get too heated with each other, we are all in the same visa-deprived boat. It is indeed a small and immeasurable sampling, but you can still use it to give yourself a glimpse of your standing. For example, I have about 525 registered VJ users who filed before me and are still awaiting NOA2. However, many may not have updated after receiving it.

I assume it's actually about three or four times that number but it gives me something to latch onto even if it's not accurate. As long as I'm not the last one in September on Igor's list, i'll be happy.

Well guess what! I AM the last person on the September list (second to last actually).

When will I see my NOA2? August? September? I would not be a bit surprised considering the exponential rate at which the Vermont Disservice Center is going down the drain.

Because by chance, more people updated their timeliness from CSC. And yes, California is ahead based on Igor's. But either way, both samples are unreliable due to sample size. It could be totally wrong and maybe VSC is ahead.

The fact still remains that just cause Igor's doesn't progress, that doesn't mean there was no progress that day. It just means that there was no progress recorded on VJ. It doesn't speak for the whole service center since there might have been approvals. Just not on anyone here.

Simply because an unreliable timeline on a website is not going your way does not mean that things are going in the wrong direction.

Once again, your anger at the system a little over three months into the process has reared its head because Igor's list isn't giving you the information you want. When I first applied, California was so far behind Vermont. Then California got ahead, and then Vermont, and then California ... point is, it changes day by day, week by week ... if the results of Igor's list is impacting you so negatively, I suggest no longer looking at it and keeping your sanity.
