anyone get any news today? any touches? I must check about 10 times during the workday. Just for fun a friend and I read our horoscopes. I read Ali's for November and it predicted a "long-distance move." It's the little things that help you get through the day!

Haha I do that too! It was my birthday on Tuesday and my horoscope for the year said something about making a big adjustment and taking relationships to the next level and I was like yep yep that's the plan!

We know how you're feeling and I'm hoping for the same thing, that we will be reunited for holidays. Yes, "hoping", I'm still hoping. You got to trust God, or else you won't see those signs He's giving us when we think we're losing it. A fresh year sounds good too, so in the worst case, let's hope we'll have at least our noa2 since Christmas. That way we receive a little present that will help us survive far from our loved ones. Being apart when holidays come makes me cry, I mean... It'd be delightful, but with my honey next to me!! :P So , knowing how I usually manage this feelings at holidays without him(not too good :D I feel a bit sad and in no mood to celebrate), yes, I got a big hope that a NOA2 or maybe even an interview will be before Christmas, I really, reaaaally trust God. Well, Igor's List implies things are at least moving so I will take that as a positive sign. I feel terrible for everyone going through CSC right now since it's at such a stand still but let's hope they get kicked into gear soon, too. :)

Here's to a new week - let's go VSC!

We need to do anything to keep busy. Sometimes I get bored, that's because I don't have a job, I'm home all day long, so that's a recipe for disaster in matters of waiting and patience. Buuuut... I try to keep busy talking to you, guys. Reading and studying, because I'll go to college once I get there. I'm watching lots of movies and tv series, because it's a great way to make time fly. ;)) Also, English is not my first language so I'm working my butt off to improve my skills. I have to know it perfectly, because I'll go to college, I'll have a job, I'll talk to people. It's another country, continent... it's another culture. I need to feel great about myself.

Anyway, that's what I do to keep busy. And oh, of course, video calls with my fiancé each and every single day!

I accept every invitation from my sister and her husband to go out somewhere for a pinic or something. That way time passes by faster and I still get to spend some time with my family.

These are the last months, so it'd be great to focus on our family, enjoy our last moments, because, well... we're going to move with our loved ones sooo, sooo SOON!! I'm really optimistic that it will happen this year!

Sorry if I'm writing too much, just needed to talk to you guys. Anyway, maybe you should all post something about how you're making the time pass by a little faster, if I might say.

Well, Igor's List implies things are at least moving so I will take that as a positive sign. I feel terrible for everyone going through CSC right now since it's at such a stand still but let's hope they get kicked into gear soon, too. :)

Yes, I know a friend who's at CSC and waiting since May 28 when she sent her petition. That's sooo, sooo frustrating. :(

Let's hope everyone will be approved soon.

I definitely agree, and I'm currently out of work myself so I hear ya! Let's just say I do a lot of cleaning... ;) I'm also trying to spend a lot of time with family. I'll be coming from Canada so it's not going to be that hard to visit family after I move, but it will still be a little while after I first go over while I'm waiting for AP to go.

And for what it's worth, I think your English is great! I would never have guessed you were still learning. ^_^

Oh, thank you, it means a lot! Whenever someone tells me that, I feel like I'm doing a great job. :P

Speaking of cleaning... I had to do a lot myself. We kind of renovated a room in the house(it looked so bad before, I was like: omg, my mother-in-law is coming over at the time of the interview when my fiancé's coming from the US as well and I don't want my room to look that bad and leave a wrong impression. He's been here before, but his mother hasn't. So I was hoping to make my house look better for Christmas.) Anyway... a lot of work, Saturday I finally moved back in this bedroom and it feels better. All that dust is gone. :D

I know, I'm thinking about applying for AP as well. I heard people saying it does bad to the AOS process, but I don't think that's real because most people get their AP and travel and everything's fine. Me and my fiancé were hoping for a honeymoon in St Maarten Island in the Caribbean. :luv:(L) So an AP is needed if we want our honeymoon to be ASAP, after we get married.

What would be your choice for the honeymoon destination? :P

Hi guys :) So first of all E &O your english is fantastic! I also never would have guessed you're still learning! As for keeping busy, I definitely have way too much going on now because I work full time (at a translation company, which is actually where I am right now and I should be working but I couldn't help but sneak over here and see what's being talked about!) and I'm also in grad school so I have classes 3 nights a week so my time without my Tomislav is going by rather quickly so to say but much more lonely these days than it was when I was less busy. When I was still working part-time (before we were enaged), even though I was lonely and sad and missed him so much and I would cry a lot more because I would just sit at home and I wouldn't even want to go out too much because I just missed him like crazy. But the plus side was that we got to see eachother on Skype everyday which was awesome and totally made everyday worth it. But now with work and school and the time difference, we have our weekly Tuesday date where I rush home from work early (and I don't have class) and he stays up late so we can Skype. Weekends are rough too because we're both always all over the place. I just cant wait for our real lives to start and we have that moment of relief where we can sit on the couch and just sigh and know that we don't have to be apart any longer! I can't wait to just have normal everyday life with him and be over all this distance, it's been too long!

Tell me about it, we've been together for 3 years and 4 months and it's sooo hard to deal with such a long distance. But now we're heading in the right direction and, as someone here on VJ said, every day that goes by is a day closer to approval. :P

We Skype every single day, but when he's at work I have to keep myself busy by doing things I like. :P Working is not an option with so little time left until leaving.

We haven't put a lot of thought into our honeymoon yet. We're doing the wedding later so we still have a lot of time to figure it all out. The plan is to do a small civil ceremony for the K1 requirements and then in 2012 doing a more traditional ceremony, partly because it's a little too overwhelming for us to try to plan the big ceremony around the K1 process since it can be so unpredictable and partly so we have a little more time to save money for it. We're more comfortable doing the planning after the K1 is behind us. :)

We've tossed around a couple of honeymoon ideas though - the bigger ceremony is planned to be in Niagara Falls and we may stay there longer for the honeymoon, but we also like the idea of going somewhere like Mexico.

St Maarten island looks beautiful!
