Why is VSC taking so long, what happened? I was approved in 58 days!: We had problem with labor last year and lost many workers, we hired more last November and it took some time to get them trained. Some of the petitions were sent to California and we also assign people to different tyopes of visas. They will concentrate on one tyoe, get behind on another and then shift many people back to the other type. Lately we have shifted many, almost all, adjudicators to I-129fs, so that should make people happy. They will do that until they get caught up. Summer is a busy time for I-129fs, usually about June we get slammed with them. The winter or early spring is the slowest time for I-129fs, but then it depends what they have everyone working on also.

from chat with VCS director somewhat 2yrs ago.

Made me smile... "omg... why so long... 58 days"

winter or early spring is the slowest time for I-129fs
The logic behind : We ll start working when summer comes  I wonder how long his Rus wife was waiting  Edited by Milushka

Two Septembers approved today so far. Looks like VSC is finishing up August and have dived into September.

Similar to what happened near the end of July filers. I remember when they said they were on "July 21 applications" August was starting to get approvals and then they cranked them out like no tomorrow.

Good luck to all you September filers.

Where do you see two? I see one, plus one from November that somehow managed to jump the gun by two months.

The November one got a miltary expedite, but VSC need to switch their work over to I-129F's before they get 7 months behind.

My fiance is an august filer and they are yet to give us a decision. It's really irritating..im going to get him to call them again and ask them what the hell they are playing at. How can they so conveniently skip some july/august filers and jump right into november..what a bunch of retards.

The November guy is deployed in the U.S. Military, the one expedite I don't argue with. But you are so right about their arbitrary and unreasonable method of deciding who goes first. One poster said that they need to get moving before they fall to 7 months behind. Well guess what? We are already there.

It is plainly obvious that the Vermont Disservice Center thinks that I129fs are some sort of joke.

Its bloody ridiculous.. Surely any idiot knows that the older ones need to approved before the new ones, not the other way around! Okay, I get that the november guy is an expedited case but what about the random september approvals that are being granted before the july/august bunch..and you're right, they must think this is some kind of a joke because I have never come across a group of 'officials' who do as little work as possible!

The annoying thing is, that with the number of staff they have there, they could easily get caught up in a week. And yes, i know that they have other petitions to work on. I don't blame the adjudicators, because they are told what to work on by the Director. The Director needs to get his head out of his a$$ and address this backlog
