I-134, Notarized

I just had my I-134 notarized at work and my co-worker sworned and signed me but she says there's no space for her to stamp it so she didn't. She signed, dated and filled-in the necessary info. Is this correct? She said to check and come back if it's ok to put the Notary Stamp on top of the text.

The notary put the stamp on the side because she could not fit it on the bottom. If needs be... I say put it on the back, but put it somewhere. I had a name change and the certification is on the back. So if it's good enough for the courts to do. Heck, it's good enough for a notary.

I'm a notary. She is wrong. She needs to find a place to stamp it on the signature page somewhere. Even if she stamps over her own signature tell her to stamp it. Until it is stamped it's not notarized.

would it be ok if i just have her place the stamp on another sheet and attach it to the I-134? she says that in CA, the stamp should be in a clean/clear area (no text or lines within the stamp box).

The notary NEEDS to stamp it on the same page as his/her signature. My notary stamped it in the lower right corner of the page, page 2 of the I-134, Affidavit of Support. It MUST be on the same page as the notaries signature.

problem solved. i had her place the stamp on the side, vertically. looks good to me, i hope Manila embassy will think so too. =D

^unfortunately, calling from the US to the Philippines won't be as cheap as US to China (or HongKong). trust me, i've looked everywhere. fortunately, we have VOIP now (through Vonage). he has a US number so our calls are cheap and unlimited. the prepaid will only be used in case i need to reach him on his cellphone.
