Police believe the MI6 spy found dead in a sports bag in a bath inside his flat may have died after a bizarre sex game went wrong, according to well-placed sources.

The Mail on Sunday has learned that a woman police officer climbed into the holdall in which codebreaker Gareth Williams’ naked body was found, re-enacting the events which it is thought could have led to his death.

She managed to zip up the bag and padlock it from the inside, leading investigators to conclude that Mr Williams may have done the same for sexual kicks and suffocated when he could not reopen it.

The theory was bolstered by the fact that a key to the padlock was found alongside his body inside the £150 bag.

Despite being crouched in the holdall, the police officer was able to squeeze her hand through a small gap between the padlock and the zip fastener and lock it from the inside.

Police believe Mr Williams may have gone through the same extraordinary routine, and then passed out, possibly as a result of panic when he was unable to reopen the padlock.

The identity of the officer who undertook the unusual police assignment is not known.

She was chosen partly because her petite size is similar to the slim and short frame of 31-year-old keep-fit fanatic Mr Williams.

His body was found in an extra-large North Face bag, a type which is favoured by explorers because of its 140 litres of storage capacity, durable material, double stitching, twin haul handles and locking zips.

Erotic asphyxiation is defined as the intentional restriction of oxygen to the brain for sexual arousal.

The practice claimed the life of Tory MP Stephen Milligan, whose body was found in 1994 with a bag over his head and an orange in his mouth.

He must be a Christian because he lives in a predominately Christian country, has a Christian name and the strange things people do in a predominately Christian country reflects badly on Christianity.

At least, that's how it works for Muslims, no?

Actually No.

That is your biased views of the qustions some of us ask.

Not to say there are not those that believe what you stated above.

I am feeling very well indeed. Take a look at a selection of online newspaper, look at the stories and how they are headlined, examine the stories that have 'muslim' in the headline and try to understand why this is not bating, but illustrative of an insidious tendency in western media reporting.

That Muslims in news stories are identified by religion but non-Muslims aren't isn't media bias to you, but MC and I pointing that double standard out is bias to you. Well, then, we know how biased you are.

Apparently, the biased practice of identifying Muslims by religion hasn't gone unnoticed by everyone.

Bill seeks to ban use of the word ‘Muslim’ in identifying criminals

08/10/2010 | 06:37 PM

A bill has been filed in the Senate seeking to criminalize the use of the word “Muslim" or “Islamic" in identifying criminals in print, radio, Internet, and all forms of broadcast media.

Senate Bill No. 1990 was filed by Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. who said the practice of identifying criminals using their religious background is derogatory and promotes discrimination among Filipinos.

“The word Muslim means follower of Allah. So, words such as “Muslim criminals" and “Muslim Terrorists" are extremely injurious to our non-Christian countrymen. We must put a stop to this religiously biased practice," Revilla said.

The senator said passing this bill will contribute to the “increased positive social space and understanding" between Muslims and non-Muslims.

“It would help drive the path towards a just, culturally-sensitive, fair and lasting peace and development in the country. This might be one of the ways to attain the long-awaited peace in Mindanao," Revilla said.

Under Senate Bill No. 1990, violators may be imprisoned from one month and one day to six months and may be asked to pay a fine ranging from P1,000 to P10,000. -
