How to prepare the I-130

I just have a question on how to prepare the I-130 before you submit all the documents to USCIS...since my husband is deployed in Afghanistan,he told me to send him an ACCO clips...theres a lot of different kinds of ACCO clipsunsure.gif...I was wondering if its the one that you can put holes on top of the documents and put the ACCO clips there...Can somebody please tell me whats the right ACCO clips that you need to use before you submit everything,we just dont wanna make mistake and ended up being denied.

Oh girl, those clips are really optional. USCIS is NOT going to deny your application, if you don't bind it using those clips

I used regular paper clips to combine everything, individual multiple page forms/docs were stapled together.

hi guys :) my husband and I just got married last aug 20th. I'm back in the states and soon will file for the petition. i've heard so many things so i'm a little confuse. DO WE REALLY NEED THE NSO CERTIFIED MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE WHEN FILING FOR THE PETITION? I have a certified true copy from the municipal of the town we got married at. will that be enough? if i dont supply the NSO certified marriage certificate im afraid we'll get an RFE :( hope to hear from you guys. thanks

For the benefit of other IR-1/CR-1 applicants who are getting ready to submit their I-130 petition, you just need the photocopy of your NSO Marriage Certificate when filing the I-130. You will need the actual NSO Marriage Certificate when you reach the NVC application stage.

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!
