Contrary to all of the hopeful people who thought that re-approved applications would go straight to the embassy I have important news.

All re-approved applications that came back from abroad are going to the NVC and then will be sent to their respective posts.

Sometimes in discussions a lot of hearsay is passed around. This is the way the re-approved applications are being handled.

Yes, we'd cleared that up - you've probably missed the posts on the recalled thread, since we talk about one zillion different things there. Actually, I thought it was better that NVC was responsible for sending out the petitions to the consulates - they're quite fast. Some of our petitions are already at the consulates and some of us have had interviews rescheduled. So... good luck! :)

Not that you asked me, but I think that varies.

I know Mew and I had already sent packet 3, so the Consulate would just inform the new interview date.

I´m tracking down the DHL shipment so I´ll call my Consulate ### soon as it arrives there.

:)

Do they also send a packet 4? If so, your fiance could go ahead and start doing whatever they instruct fiances to do. :)

I guess you can start here:

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...amp;cty=Bangkok

I'd gather that even though the petitions came back, they'd have to go through the NVC again because there was an amount of time that lapsed between the reapprovals ?

Ummm. I'm not sure I understand what you mean. NVC had pretty much done what they had to the first time we got our approvals (assing new case number - which remained the same, btw - and security checks). I guess that there's some rule that says that everything to be mailed out to the consulates has to go through NVC.
