Eid Mabrouk Mena!

Well hubsta has to get his passport renewed, he has the old one. I ve searched everywhere on the consulate page

to see if he has to come in for the fingerprint part but I dont see it. I ve read a post about having to

actually go to NY (i hope NOT).

So has anyone got the biometric new passport thru Moroccan consulate?

It says to basically send it the req'd documents which we have... and tried calling them but yeah right!

they never answer.

any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

Morocco is now issueing new biometric passport, if your passport is old and you want to renew it you`ll need to go to the consulate in NY and get your fingerprint there, you`lll mostly get your new passpoprt in 1 hour, and if you have your old mOROCCAN id( carte nationale) take it with you and ask them to replace it with the new one. The new ID will be sent to you in the mail in less than a month for sure.

Conclusion, you`ll need to travel to NY and get your new passport done. Best of luck.

Oh wow. Thats another unwanted errand. So all Moroccans have to

make their way to NY for it. Ugh! Nothing can just be simple lol.

On the website it says only for lost CNIE cards are fingerprints needed.

well let me start researching ticket and hotel fare for a one hour task.

thanks for responding, its just the inconvenience of it all that has me like ugh

You could also go to the consular section of the Moroccan embassy in DC, or check the Moroccan consulate's website, because they do a "traveling consulate" to reach Moroccan Americans who aren't on the East Coast ^_^

As Squeaky mentioned, try to see if they have a " mobile consulate", i`ve heard they startedthat in California to reach all Morrocans. i think the best answer that can help you will come from the association of Moroccans in Texas, here is the link if you want to contact the Board.am sure they`ll be so helpful because they get updated about everything concerning the consulate or the embassy.

squeaky580, can I ask when you were in Morocco did you have

to leave every 90 days? If so, what was the easiest way for you?

I've heard about a ferry... the Tanger to Tarifa ferry and also

looked online and saw cheap tickets from Marrakech thru spain

thru ryanair.com but I don't know how easy/ difficult I can expect things to be..

any insight is appreciatttted

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I exited and re entered on foot at Ceuta. There was nothing easy about it, but my circumstances were unique. If you stay for a day or two over the border, it shouldn't be any trouble.

Sorry to misunderstand, but am I understading that my moroccan husband has to physically go to NY to do this? What happened to all the documents and passport sent to NY moroccan consulate? I read that one passport when sent via postal - is taking 4 months or more to return with the renewal?

OMG! Can the passport be expired when sending for renewal?

I am having same problem as stated here, no answer on phone calls, left several messages, sent several emails, NOT one have been open or replied to, and not one phone messages have been responded to?!! what to do...what to do! :help:

thanks to any advise given, in advance.

We renewed hubbys when the mobile consulate came- that was more than 4 months ago I think and still no word... Guess the moroccans are taking their time.

Kenza, did you eventually get your husband passport ? if so how long did it take?

Erase the image on how you thought your life would turn out- and start living the life you are living!!
