Hello

I am just starting to fill out my paperwork for the AOS package. I got a question about the I693? we have to find a civil surgeon to fill it out but does that mean I bring my info there to fill out or do I need another examination?

You just need them to transcribe your vaccinations, not a whole new medical unless yours was over a year ago.

It's worth mentioning that a lot of people don't bother getting the I-693 done, and instead just include a copy of the vaccination worksheet from their foreign medical in the packet and are approved without a problem. You will risk a possible RFE, but it has worked for many of us.

Unless they lose your medical... :hehe:

I called around and I couldn't find a civil surgeon who would just transcribe my vaccinations without doing the full medical. Also I never recieved the worksheet from the panel physician (Dr. Seiden in Mtl) but did contact them and they told me that the worksheet would have been included in the package that was in the sealed envelope. I wrote a note and added a copy of the I-693 instructions that said if you had a medical overseas you are not required to submit the I-693. SO far I haven't had an RFE, but I am still awaiting my biometrics appt, so not sure if they would have got that far in processing my application.
