hey, having interview in US Consulate, Chennai on third week of Oct.

Anybody who has any recent experience or knowledge of Chennai help, please?

what wud be the good n affordable places to stay nearby to consulate. Don't want too pricy ones..but still looking for a safe and secure place with no theft / stinking room and good enough hygiene..dats abt it. and yea, have to manage to be in presentable shape next day..

There are lots of hotels in Chennai. One which may work is Hotel Ranjith @ Gemini Flyover on NH Rd, about 400 m from Consulate.

2005/11/07 I-129F approved, forwarded to NVC--to Chennai Consulate 2005/11/14

2005/12/02 Packet-3 received from Chennai

2005/12/21 Visa Interview Date

2006/04/04 Pras' entry into US at DTW

2006/04/15 Church Wedding at Novi (Detroit suburb), MI

2006/05/01 AOS Packet (I-485/I-131/I-765) filed at Chicago

2006/08/23 AP and EAD approved. Two down, 1.5 to go

2006/10/13 Pras' I-485 interview--APPROVED!

2006/10/27 Pras' conditional GC arrives -- .5 to go (2 yrs to Conditions Removal)

2008/07/21 I-751 (conditions removal) filed

2008/08/22 I-751 biometrics completed

2009/06/18 I-751 approved

2009/07/03 10-year GC received; last 0.5 done!

2009/07/23 Pras files N-400

2009/11/16 My 46TH birthday, Pras N-400 approved

2010/03/18 Pras' swear-in

Also btw--Pras reached the Consulate straight from Guntur after all-night-as-passenger in a hired vehicle--without any freshen-up--and they tentatively (pending the medical, which she had to reschedule) approved her K-1.

thx Saddle.. in my case, i will be travelling from Bglr. And looks like have to travel twice.. one for the medical and later for interview..

want to do the medical early enuf; besides will get a feel of chennai before i go for the interview :)

Also, if you are Christian and need prayer beforehand, there is a church about a block from this hotel--the HQ church of Laymen's Evangelical Fellowship.

Following are the Good Hotels to stay near the consulate.Some of them has Complimentary Drop off to the Consulate too..:yes:

Ramada Raj Park

Days Inn Deccan Plaza

Sea Shell Residency hotel(As Suggested by JinyAndJony)
