Hi Ladies and Gents !

I had my interview notice yesterday set for October 11th (Columbus Day). However, i know this is a federal holiday meaning all government offices are closed ? anyone else have or had an interview on a federal holiday before? or do any of you know if certain offices open? i tried looking online but couldn't find anything regarding my local office. I also tried checking the info pass schedule to see if they were accepting info pass appts on that day so i would know if they were really open - but you can only make appts two weeks in advance at the most headbonk.gif Just wanted to check with you guys before I'm forced to call the misinformation line and get frustratedwacko.gif

You are right - it is a federal holiday, so it is unusual that your interview would be scheduled then!

However, I work for local govt and we don't have that day off. Maybe local offices go by the local govt holiday schedule?

Anyway, if I was in your position I would try the misinfo line anyway.

Don't forget to post what questions they ask because we have an interview on Oct 15 and they will probably be the same questions!

I just called the 'misinformation' line who were surprisingly helpful for once. They put me through to an IO. The interview notice was sent in error as they are closed on that day. Apparently they did send me a de-scheduling notice (never received this) and no new interview date as yet been scheduled for me headbonk.gif So i guess i just have to wait for them to make me a new one. Hope my case doesn't get lost in the USCIS vortex now blink.gif

Thanks ELW! and yeah what a shocker headbonk.gif.. but im sure there are others who were scheduled on a federal holiday in error. I just hope their mind clicked that it is a federal holiday and called or at least received a de-scheduling notice.
