Greetings everyone,

I had earlier posted a question on the amount of time it would take to process new documentation, as the person on the phone at the National Visa Center informed me that it would take 6-8 weeks due to increased volume. Others confirmed that they had been hearing the same information for documentation filed around the July/August time period.

The good news is that, having received my documents on August 5th, a phone call to them today confirmed that our file/case is now complete and we are now waiting for an interview date to be given to us. This means that the real processing time could be closer to between 4 and 6 weeks as opposed to the promised 6 to 8 weeks.

I hope this helps folks who are anxious about the amount of time it takes to get documents through!

I can confirm this. I was told processing my RFE will take 6-8 weeks. But it was processed in less than a month.
