Timeline for Receipt of Naturalization Certificate

I applied for my passport book via normal routine proceedure (20th August), and was duely assured by the officer at the post office desk that my passport will be ready in 4-6 weeks. He again indicated that prior to the arrival of the book I will first receive my origianl naturalization certificate in a separate envelope. As of yet my certificate has not come in, but received an email from the passport office today (10th September)that my passport book is ready, and it's on its way. The non-receipt of my original naturalization certificate is making me a bit agitated. Am I worrying for nothing about my original naturalization certificate? Anyone with similar experience can share as always. Long live Vjers! :dance:

Did Masterpiece not teach you well the finer art of relaxing....taking a deep breath....etc etc?

I am off VJ for a while and you relapse?....more tsk! tsk!! tsk!!!

You will get your passport, then your certificate in two separate mails.

Don`t sweat it!

And oh by the way congrats on being a USC. "Where the party at"....?

8-31-2006: K1 approved

11-15-2006: K1 Interview: done and visa approved

11-21-2006: K1 visa issued

11-27-2006: JFK as POE: Work authorized stamp on I-94

AOS Mission

12-16-2006: 1-485 + I-765 mailed

1-3-2007: NOA1 received: Notice date 12-28-2006

1-16-2007: Biometrics

1-17-2007: Case transferred to CSC

2-10-2007: I-693 RFE (whatever happened to the panel physician`s medical report?)

4-3-2007: Another I-693 RFE

5-8-2007: Resident Permit Card received Next Stop: February 6, 2009 (I-751)

Removal of Conditional Basis of Residency (Form I-751)

2-6-2009 Mailed Form 1-751:::VSC

2-14-2009 Received I-751 Receipt notice indicating one year extension of conditional residency status

3-6-2009 Biometrics:::::::::::::waiting for VSC

7-7-2009: E-mail notice received: Card production ordered

8-3-2009: 10year Green Card Received in the mail.

Naturalization Application (N-400)

2-16-2010: N-400 sent in..

4-2-2010: Biometrics

5-18-2010: Interview

6-16-2010: Certificate of Nat. received- Masterpiece is a USC!

7-16-2010: U.S Passport in hand

Geez, masterpiece! I too soon forgot about you. I guess you are right. My patience level is lacking. And per your response, I think I will have to work on it a little more. But don't blame me, masterpiece! You know how "omo ghana suffer don get this paper now", and it has virtually become one of the most cheerished properties I have, lol!

So you got your passport Sep 13....before Friday Sep 17, you will get your certificate....and if perchance you dont get it....relax you are still a USC....it will all work out...

K1 Trip

Hi Folks,

I got my certificate back today (09/17/2010). The journey is ended.It hurts to say bye to USCIS. And to all Vjers who are in the queue, do follow procedure, seek for answers to issues that you don't understand, and I trust folks on this thread will be all willing to share tangible and workable ideas. I love you all and bye. :dance:
