I just filed i 130, it was received/signed for Sept 7-Tuesday, how long before i get a receipt confirmation. I also filed the form that allows them to email me when it is received with the receipt number, i forget the name of the form,4485 or something close to that, and no email yet. thanks!

That's G-1145. Wait for 2 to 3 weeks.

Also, don't read this pocket guide if you are aware of the entire process: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse

Thanks guys. And after it is accepted, you think it is worth filing the k3, or just wait out this form?

I-129F for K-3 now-a-days are approved at the same time as I-130. So, it is not needed.

But it is entirely up to your decision.

I think is NOT worth filing the I-129F for a K-3.

Hi Folks!

I submitted my i-130 back in late Aug and received my NOA 9/3. I had a few touches and also submitted I-129 for a K3 visa and received another touch on 10/29 on both applications. do you think it will take much longer to get the NOA2? i'm past the 3 month marker now ... tick tock .. also my wife is in medellin right now and parts of the country is in a state of emergency, do you think I can apply or send a note to expedite due to state of emergency? Let me know your thoughts!

How Do I submit an expedite when I'm in the NVC stage? If it does not hurt, I will certainly do it. The country is in a state of emergency, granted her home is not flooded, but parts of the city has been and there have been rock slides in other parts of the city. What documentation would I need to provide in order to get this reviewed and how do I submit?

Great news, just got my NOA 2 yesterday. I got my NVC case # and IIN #. I cannot pay the AOS fee because it's still showing as not invoiced, errr. How long does this take? Can I email DS-3032 before I officially receive some email from NVC? How long does it take to receive the email? Does anyone know, when I main the IV Packet it's asking for original docs. That's fine, but do I need to get an Apostille or Sello from the notaria in Colombia? My wife is gathering again her birth certificate and our marriage license again so we can mail the packet.

any tips that anyone can share with me? it would be greatly appreciated. To everyone else, good luck with your journey!

I'm not sure I agree with not filing for K-3. It allows you to bring your spouse here much sooner, allows him/her to work, they can travel without an AP, and gives you the option whether to complete the process here or to return to the home country at the end. And it is free. There is just no downside, and plenty of upside in my eyes.
