I believe other VJ members have already answered your questions.

Thank you for sharing the website thou. I didn't know they will increase the price. I am glad that I sent the package this month. =]

yes I know they did answer, but I was not so sure and besides if I put this question, it might be helpful to the person who is making a checklist to ask those questions before he/she sends.

I have a final question and I will stop being annoying: do we need a birth certificate of our joint-sponsor?

thank you again all for your help!

sorry guys, I'm probably panicking too much. so "BC" stands for birth certificate and we don't need to send bc of our co-sponsor, right? :-P

The I-864 is my weak point, and it makes my head hurt to double check it... but... I am pretty sure you need to show that your co-sponsor is a US citizen as well... ie. show a copy of passport page or naturalization cert or BC for them. I'll try to double-check for you if my head can take it. No promises though ;)

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

I am sorry that I didn't read your question correctly.

The joint-sponsor needs a proof of citizenship, national, or permanent resident status.

If that sponsor has already filed proof of their citizenship or immigration status with Forms I-130, Form I-129F, I-600 and I-600A do not need to submit proof of their status.

Proof of U.S. citizen or national status includes a copy of yourbirth certificate, certificate of naturalization, certificate ofcitizenship, consular report of birth abroad to citizen parents,or a copy of the biographic data page of your U.S. passport.
