Urgent Help needed.

Hi Folks,

My k-3 approved one week ago and it is on its way to NVC. Till todate they have not received it.

I am moving to a new address on September 1st.

Should I inform the NVC or USCIS? please explain? by phone or letter ?

Will it delay my case.?

Or should i keep paying the rent for my old apt as well, just to keep the old address for mailing purposes.

Always inform NVC/USCIS for change of address, you don't need to keep paying on your old apartment just let the postal office forward all your letters to your new address.

well...i have heard from some people that USPS will not forward USCIS mail to different address.

I have to do the same thing for my wife (change address that is).

I called USCIS and was informed that until it was approved, the address submitted couldn't be changed. Once it was approved, to call back and inform them of the new or proper mailing address.

To be on the safe side, give them a call and let them know it has been approved and by the way, your address has changed; please send all information to the new address.

You've heard only but not tried it right? They do forward on a different address, you can do it as well online:
