Hey guys! I'm just wondering, is it true that St. Luke's do medicals even without the interview letter from NVC/Embassy? How soon can my husband go for his medical? I paid the AOS and IV fee bill, and still waiting for them to be cleared. So technically, they haven't reviewed AOS and DS-230 (IV) documents yet. Can he go do his medical now? What does he need to bring with him?

Thanks!

Good day...as for us, we didn't get any US embassy letter until..wondering if when are they planning to send it or if they still plan to send one..lol... :ot2: ..hmm..since, I don't have any Us embassy letter, what I presented to them was our NVC letter which was sent to my fiance(the one stating that our papers where sent to US embassy in Manila)...St. Lukes needs the Manila Case # of your petition...if ever you have a letter that has your Manila case #,I guess they would allow your husband to take the med exam(not so sure)..are you on a CR1 visa??..I thought it's the embassy who scheduled your appointment for med exam or interview, coz as for us K1 visa applicant, it's within our efforts to schedule our appointments(if I'm wrong please do correct.. :D )...God bless!!

I just read from other filers that they were able to do medical without the appointment letter. So I wanna ask, 'cause if they allow it, I would ask my husband to go ahead and go for his medical. As for the petition, it's IR-1/CR-1 for us. I didn't know there's a difference with the way they do Consular processing IR-1/CR-1/K-1.. :bonk:

All we have when going to SLMC is NVC case number, passport, visa size pictures and of course $$$$.

SLMC did ask what day her interview is....which we do not have date at that time....they mention that medical is only valid for 6 months.

They begin her medical exam the same day! No problems...no more questions from them....just do the medical.

In our situation...it is a very good thing we do early....she must take sputum/culture test.

If we would have waited for the papers from NVC...it would have been 6 more weeks before we start medical!!!

Would have meant wasted time because of sputum/culture testing...

God Bless...it will all work out for you!

My wife and daughter did their medical at SLEC 1 1/2 months early. They only took

the NOA2 approval notice and their passports. Tell hubby to go after noon. Tuesday thru Thursday. He'll beat the morning rush.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Exactly....we just took the NOA2, a copy of the AOS bill with the NVC case number on it, passport, passport photos, the fee and a pen. It is best to get the medical done as soon as possible. Also Dakine is right, go about noon or after tuesday-thursday....the first day was about 5 hours, but Mhay mostly waited on the physical exam the longest...like an hour and a half.

Thanks guys! We weren't sure. I told him to just try if he could do it without the appointement letter. I'm also concerned about the x-ray, 'cause we work in health care and we have exposures to different diseases. I mean, he's healthy, but I don't want to take any chances in case he has to do the sputum culture.
