Packet 4

We're currently awaiting packet 4 from London Embassy and slowly my patience is wearing thin... I sent back all the forms (packet 3) on 10th August. I have also completed the medical... so all we have left now is wait... easier said than done, though.

Has anybody sent their packet 3 in August and got the date yet? If so what is it?

Thanks for your replies.

There were a few of us that send back our P3 forms at the beginning of August who have gotten interview dates, but it took about 3-5 weeks. We sent ours back on 8/2 and received P4 on 8/25 with an interview date of 9/28. August is a very slow time at the London Embassy as many people go on vacation then. Give it a little more time, you should hear something soon.

Thanks a lot for a reply... I'll try to be patient for few more days... hope the packet will be here soon...

By the way, looks like we had a medical on the same day... :) what a coincidence...

Good luck on the interview!

Good luck on the interview!

It's really hard at this point, I know how you feel. What you could do is have the US Citizen half of the couple call the Department of State here in the US (202) 633-1225, press 1, then press 0). It's a long distance call to Washington DC, but it doesn't cost any extra to call. They have access to the same information that the embassy would have, so they would be able to tell you if your P3 has been logged in, or can let you know once the interview is set. Sometimes it's good to check when it's getting close to when you expect to hear something so that you can find out if the letter got lost in the mail.

Yeah, medicals were on the same day! I'm the USC, though, so it was my fiance who got to go through the poking and prodding.

Hi, we too are PATIENTLY waiting.. well not really patient.. but yeah.. waiting.. We also sent our packet 3 in on August 2nd and every day goes by and no post.. I am going to try and call that washington number on Monday (if we haven't gotten the post before then!) Our packet 3 was never sent to us, so it makes me worried that this one is lost too.. Good luck to you all! (fingers crossed that it is soon!!)

Nice to see that marlea is able to give sympathy to some people who are complaining about waiting for their P4, even if she can't give it to my fiance and me. I guess some of us are second class citizens around here.

Sorry to hear you're still waiting,

I never received packet 3 at all so I emailed the London Embassy on the 12th of August and they emailed me back the list of forms I needed to complete for the case to progress (The ones I should have received in packet 3). They said I could return the forms by email which I did on the 24th of August and to my suprise there was an email from them on the 25th of August with an interview date and time (yes you read that correctly 1 day to process the forms). On the 27th I got the offical letter with the interview info.

The interview is is scheduled for Sept 20th at 10.00am

Don't know if its any help to you but:

I emailed them at: LondonConsular@state.gov

The link they sent me to for the forms was: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Thank you very much for your reply. It was very helpful. We might indeed try to email the Embassy to see whether we can at least get an update. Many thanks!

It took London 2 weeks to log in our P3 forms after they'd received them, and then another 2 days to schedule our interview. As Marlea said, August slowed everyone down a little, but you should hear something soon. You can always call the DOS to see if they've scheduled anything or logged in your forms. 202-663-1225 (Option 1 for main menu, then 0 for operator)

They can tell you what's been done on your case if you give them your LND case number.

Good luck!
