This story is not new. The Irish were going to ruin us, then the Chinese were, then the Mexicans (even now) and the Muslims. There have been outcries against Catholics, and the other eastern religions. It's not like this is the first time these sentiments have been expressed, and it turns out that the world didn't end afterall.

Please do go on. This is your statement, full of hyperbole and qualifiers: I call your BS. There are millions of Muslims living in Muslim countries that sponsor terrorism, and example after example of Islamic Imams that preach the Quoranic gospel of Holy War, issue calls for death for as little an offense as cartoons. There are countless examples of Islamic spiritual leaders who advocate and inspire others to mutilate and/or kill women. You appear to be living in a PC bubble devoid of influence by pesky little things called verifiable documented facts.

So, yes, please go on. You need separate, non-repeating, countless verifiable examples that are not from biased hate sites. Tall order, I'm sure.

Learn your history, Danno. "Europeans" weren't some sort of harmonious, homogenized happy bunch in this country. Different nationalities and religious groups considered each other to be ethnically inferior, threateningly different in culture and religion, with each wave less acceptable to the last. Hell, they didn't even consider each other to be White. They brutally discriminated against each other, segregated the "unwashed" among them into immigrant ghettos, and considered intermarriage to be undesirable. This attitude existed well into the 20th century in many American enclaves.

There are many unspoken secrets in American history that perhaps you should be aware of before making claims that Europeans were so easily assimilated. I'll bet even some of your older relatives can tell you otherwise.

These examples have nothing to do with Islam or being Muslim like church shooters have nothing to do with Christianity or a church deacon serial killer doesn't define being Christian. 85% of Americans consider themselves to be Christians. That must mean there are a lot of violent Christians in the US, considering our crime rate.

The Kataeb party was founded by Pierre Gemayel in 1936, who modeled the party after Spanish and Italian Fascist parties^[1][2] he had observed as an Olympic athlete during the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, then Nazi Germany.^[3][4] The movement's uniforms originally included brown shirts and members used the Nazi salute^[5]. Videos from YouTube showing not one but two separate women, from two separate Muslim countries with their noses and in one case ears as well cut off are not credibly poo pooed by claiming source issues.

Disavowing the Muslim/Islamic belief system for anyone who espouses or acts in violent, dare I say barbaric manner using Islam as the basis is a weak dodge.

Certainly Christians who murder abortion doctors or bomb abortion clinics are a part of the Christian whole. Not really much of a dodge.

I do not claim nor do I believe all Muslims practice Islam in a violent, blood thirsty manner and it is impossible for me to believe you find acts of female mutilation to be a quaint practice. But you don't get a free pass from me claiming such things are cultural phenomenon wholly unrelated to how a significant portion of the worlds Muslim population currently acts and behaves.

If Islam is solely about peace and love then cultures dominated by Islam would reflect that. Clearly where we look to areas where Islam has control we don't see that. This is a broad statement which does not discount there must be some wonderful folks just trying to live their lives but if we stop trying to resort to cries of biggot or simplistic dodges it is a reasonably accurate description of many if not all Muslim dominated countries.

I posted about the Christian Phalange militia and their participation in the massacres at Shabra and Shatilla. Also, the organized Christian massacres of Muslims in Bosnia, both during the Clinton administration, if I remember correctly.

Of course, on this board, it is ALWAYS denied that Christians do anything bad as Christians, but any one Muslim is bad because of Islam. Christians are bad because they're not following true Christianity. Muslims are bad because they're following true Islam. That's the double standard I see, and not just here.

BTW, the Bible is heaped with violence done by God and pre-Messanic heroes, but the excuse is that most of it is in the Old Testament, so it doesn't count. Well, the OT, the first five books of the Bible is still part of it; Genesis is part of it, the promise of a messiah is part of it.

Besides, the OT is the Jewish testament. If the Quran, and, thus, Islam, and be judged violent for the few selected war verses often quoted to justify that belief, should the same be said of Judaism? Shouldn't the massacre by Zionists at the Temple Mount in 1984(?) be an example of Jewish jihad? Of course not.

That is not what I said. I said the problem lies not in religion, but in Nationalism and concerns with self determination and expulsion of foreign invaders. You can argue the toss as you like as to who is right in the various ongoing situations, but simply blaming everything on muslims is inaccurate and leads to discrimination against those (who are the majority) who adhere to the religious belief system and are no threat to anyone. It's wrong to blame American muslims for the actions of those involved in nationalist struggles in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, wrong and quite frankly there is no excuse for it.

Nice try but your isolated example is not the equivalent. You are comparing someone losing their mind to that of people who think their are following Allah's footsteps.
