No one here knows anything about Islam, but they all think their opinions are valid. Just because you get consistently bad and wrong info is no excuse to believe your views are as valid as someone who does know what they're talking about.

How can anyone have a discussion with you about this? People are specifically discussing x, which you ignore, but then rant on about C. Then sticking to this, you know nothing about C. Which would be great, if we were discussing point C. Now that's what so typical of some posters on VJ.

Time to identify nationalism for what it is and end the prejudice against those who practice the muslim religion. Terrorism is a politically motivated action - the purpose; self determination or the end of what is seen by those engaging in the action as enemy occupation and it has nothing whatsoever to do with being a member of a religious organisation.

I call your BS. There are millions of Muslims living in Muslim countries that sponsor terrorism, and example after example of Islamic Imams that preach the Quoranic gospel of Holy War, issue calls for death for as little an offense as cartoons. There are countless examples of Islamic spiritual leaders who advocate and inspire others to mutilate and/or kill women. You appear to be living in a PC bubble devoid of influence by pesky little things called verifiable documented facts.

I guess El Salvador, a country of 6 million, having a homicide rate that is 86 times that of Germany means nothing to you, because not all do it.

Trying to reason with an individual with such a mentality is like trying to reason with Holocaust deniers. Just strange how you don't give Caucasian Americans the same leniency, considering under 3% own slaves and a fraction of that actually treated them poorly. Oh no, they're all guilty as charged.

That is not what I said. I said the problem lies not in religion, but in Nationalism and concerns with self determination and expulsion of foreign invaders. You can argue the toss as you like as to who is right in the various ongoing situations, but simply blaming everything on muslims is inaccurate and leads to discrimination against those (who are the majority) who adhere to the religious belief system and are no threat to anyone. It's wrong to blame American muslims for the actions of those involved in nationalist struggles in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, wrong and quite frankly there is no excuse for it.
