Actually this discusison is playing out in most first world countries, find an international forum and it is being discussed there too.

Why you may ask? The issue is with the massive migration of people to western countries over the last decade or two that share none of our values, culture or way of life. More specifically, have little interest in integrating into the country. Once again, this might be hidden in a country the size of the US but is quite clear - in your face - in significantly smaller countries. Lately, the growing trend of violence and crime within the groups.

This story is not new. The Irish were going to ruin us, then the Chinese were, then the Mexicans (even now) and the Muslims. There have been outcries against Catholics, and the other eastern religions. It's not like this is the first time these sentiments have been expressed, and it turns out that the world didn't end afterall.

I stopped watching cable news and listening to talk radio because it just started to make me angry. The same arguments over and over and people being extremely rude and condescending - on both sides.

There is a reason why the Politics and Religion section was created on VJ. If someone has no interest in discussing either, then why post here or about it? It's common sense that we will all have different topics of interest to discuss.

This has been a trademark of the old VJ crew though and can be applied to any controversial topic. There is a group of posters who enter threads with zero intention of discussing the topic. Rather, simply want to derail it, because they don't agree with what is being discussed. And would rather stick to their biased viewpoints regarding the topic. Great, but why should everyone else seize all discussion because of these posters personal viewpoints on a topic?

In numerous other forums, the actions of these posters is considered trolling and they would be suspended for it. VJ seems to tolerate trolling.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

They're not blowing us up now are they. It's the same straw-man argument used in discussing any such topic, by those with ironically similar views.

I'd start by looking at the UK's mess with such problems before playing all naive.

The problem is not that people want to discuss Muslims or Islam on VJ. The problem is that they are absolutely and completely clueless about either subject. Everyone of the critics comes here to regurgitate what they read on hate sites and/or hear on talk shows. I know this is true because I am paid to monitor hate sites and listen to those shows. As a conservative, I used to enjoy listening to conservative shows, but they have gone off the deep end with misinformation. The liberal shows are just as bad.

As a Muslim educated in Islam, it's difficult to have the overwhelming ignorance of non-Muslims shoved in your face day after day. It's also difficult to understand how ratings justify the kind of bigotry and division that it generates and spreads. It's America's loss in the long run. The terrorists are winning because unless a Muslim is kissing the haters' azzes and agreeing with their nonsense, they aren't.considered to be good Muslims. Few are going to do that.

I don't watch a lot of television news. Is it as overloaded with discussion about Islam and Muslims as Visa Journey is? Why is there this obsession in VJ?

Me neither. Everything gets sensationalized and IMO, a lot of people make pretty good parrots.

Coming from you, this is funny.

I can count on one hand the number of times you have discussed a topic with an open-mind and it not being the bandwagon liberal flavor of the month. Which apparently is now defending the rights of a mosque to be built at a sensitive location.

I see because all news which is concurring on the same topics with the same fact and issues no matter where comes from now is misled and uninformed; In your opinion.

I agree there are hates sites out there but their not the only ones with news and it seems alot of the news has the same information but from different sources.

I agree you know more about Islam than I do.

The terroist are winnig because the People of the Islamic let them carry out the acts of terror in the name of their religeon killing all Muslim and non alike.

So tell us how a good man of the Islamic faith decries Terroism in the name of his faith?

And if there are so many tell us why it is only a few that speak out.

If you have a decent memory and know how to multiply, you should be able to count quite high on just one hand.

You're a little different though, as you stick to discussing views based on your personal bias. Bruscado on here almost always toes the liberal line on every single issue.

Almost everyone including the Pope spoke out against the idiotic burning of a book. Yet on here, we cannot even get more than one or two to admit there is a problem with people being butchered, beheaded, bombed and victims of atrocious violence and in the name of Islam.

Instead, they prefer to stick to the Islam does not advocate this. Great, why not convince those fuckwits carrying out these atrocities of this rather than us. Oh wait, they will call you an infidel and kill you too for saying such things.

Dude, you are the Danno and Gary of the left here. Do you seriously not see this? :wow:

If you don't, is it not a pattern to you that while you claim to be an open-minded thinking man, you are lock-step on 99.99% of issues here. Not once have I seen you think outside the box. In fact, you are even willing to totally discredit international examples which you yourself used earlier to prove your point, that no longer align with it on other topics.
