No purpose is served by trying to argue absolute truth on the basis of YouTube videos. All it does is highlight the biases and prejudices of individuals.

Feel free to respond with a slew on one liners and non sequiturs

Since you suffer from lack of reading comprehension I will type this response very slowly. Get your mommy to help understand.

I plainly indicated my points were 'generalizations' and YouTube videos for graphical illustration. I don't have time to travel the world to shoot my own video so YouTube will have to do.

If Islam is a religion based on a book that only teaches love and tolerance then we should see that love and tolerance in the places where Islam began, and the dominant religion is Islam and in many cases both the religion and government combined. Yet the reverse is the general rule. Intolerance. Barbarity. Backwards thinking. These are the words that generally come to mind.

Universal? No. Generally? Yes.

If facts are facts, you need to find some. Protestants did not see themselves as worshiping the same God as Catholics. Outside of baseball, they had many pastimes that were not shared or even understood across the board. They did speak the same language. You have a very idyllic and romantic view of the Caucasian invasion of the US, but it just ain't so.

It is no wonder that people remain hyper vigilant about "the Other". It's part of our history as a nation that supports worldwide immigration. T

Facts are facts, just a few decades ago the United States was 85-90% european extraction and an even higher consistency of CHristians, in one form or another.

Even considering the minority of Black Americans and Hispanics, we all worshiped the same God, enjoyed the same past-times, spoke the same language, cheered the same sports, watched the same movies and held singular allegiance to the same flag, not sure that can be said today.

How did this melding you refer to come about?

Immigration was cut way back so that by WW2 ... we were one nation.

However you make my point perfectly.... if 100 yrs ago such disharmony resulted from variant brands of Europeans and Christians thrust together... it's no wonder these issues now dominate our headlines with ever increasing intensity in todays America.

Nice try but your isolated example is not the equivalent. You are comparing someone losing their mind to that of people who think their are following Allah's footsteps.

You apply a double standard that refuses to allow individual Muslims to just be losing their minds. I'm finding it hard to take your irrational rants or your assessments of me even a little seriously because I know that they come from other Muslim hating links you persistently parrot. I think you're losing your mind.

I will tell you what, instead of trying to argue with me about politics in Lebanon which you will NEVER UNDERSTAND, why don't you go there and hold a meeting with the politicians in power and tell them what you think? They will laugh you out of the room, none of them care what you or the average Lebanese citizen thinks. I simply told you how the Lebanese civil war was started and you try to turn it around into something else. There has been tension in Lebanon since time began, it has always been a battle ground and unfortunately it probably always will be.....even before Islam made it's way into Lebanon it was a battle ground. Ever since the French occupation Christians gained most of the power and refused to share power equally, the religion card was always pulled and the Muslims were oppressed and mistreated......it was like a giant pressure cooker waiting to explode. Doesn't matter what religion it is or if religion is even involved.....when people are oppressed, not represented, and ignored long enough there will be conflict. Why don't you research Samir Gaga, he was a Christian imprisoned for war crimes, unfortunately he is in power again, and I am sure if he could repeat those crimes and not be in trouble again he would do it in a heartbeat. Thank god things are quiet in Lebanon right now on both sides and I hope it will stay that way. Anyway unless you can read Arabic you will never get a full understanding of the history of Lebanon and the civil war, anything you find on the internet is biased and from a western point of view.

Slow Down Spanky (IP)

You need to reread my post.

If you believe I was arguin with you then you have bigger issues than we all want to discuss.

First and formost I never stated I knew anything about Lebanon(Who would want to) that is your own twisted and possibly biased mind telling you something more than was said; in hopes of garnering an arguement or conflict.

Maybe you can not handle the concept of someone froma particular religeon unafraid to call out the pretendersfor what they are.

I simply stated any organiztion using violence as they did claiming to be christian does not hold christian values and I would sya it to their face if they killed me so what. If they laugh me out of the room it will be a shame come judgment day and they are denied entry to the gates of Heaven. (which is what they believein)

Can you say that without fearing for your life to extremists in your religeon that execute atrocities in the name of your religeon?

Again I will research the information about what you first stated more but it seems these idiots proclaiming to be christian are a farce to the religeon.

I suspect these people and the organization is no better than any extreme Islamic organization that tries to terrorize the world in the name of their religeon.

No harm done...I get worked up when I think about things in the past. I forgot to mention how they turn off the electricity in the neighborhoods that are predominately Muslim for most hours of the day. In the summer they are lucky to get the electricity for 1 hour a day, that is not even enough to run the washing machine and it is hot like an oven with no a/c.....yes they are also paying customers but they lie and say we don't pay for electricity (thank goodness for generators if you can afford it). They also have a habit of blocking wheat and flour from making it to the bakeries that deliver to the shops in Muslim neighborhoods. These are only a few annoyances they are still throwing out at us. Some of the riots, tires burning, and things you may see on the news is not about religion at all....it is about electricity and them not allowing bread to make it into certain neighborhoods. They also have taxed the h3ll out of anything to do with children.....like milk and baby formula. The list goes on.............

I was thinking more along the lines of this:

"A 13-year-old Dalit girl was kidnapped and apparently forced to convert to Islam in the Pakistani port city of Karachi, according to a media report on Saturday."

And I can keep these coming for days and days.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

When people of foreign cultures and religions find themselves together.... it is more often marked with, strife and disharmony and contention.

It's actually others who hold the "romantic view" about these things....from afar.

Even when one considers the incidents of abuse that may have occurred, it was still a heep more humane than what was carried out by many Indian tribes ... one to another.

In fact I am still waiting for some group to condemn the American Indians for their practice of enslaving fellow humans.
