Hi Guys,

I'm wondering, if let's say I apply for K3 and both i-130, i-129f get

approved at the same time, is it faster, easier for my wife to get here?

I don't really care if I'll need to go through all AOS later, just want her to

be here faster.

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot!!

I-129F goes through NVC. The K-3 is the visa issued at the consulate. Once the I-130 and I-129F are approved (yes it will be on the same day as has been the trend for years) the I-129F will be closed by NVC

Good luck

if let's say I apply for K3 and both i-130, i-129f get

approved at the same time

this approval happens at USCIS.

Both casefiles travel together into NVC,

and NVC will administratively CLOSE the I-129F, thereby killing any 'K-3 hope' you might have.

See http://www.visajourney.com/news/2010/02/07/department-of-state-to-close-k-3-visas-if-i-129f-and-i-130-petitions-approved-and-received-together/

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
