Hi,

My wife has her interview in Bangkok for her IR-1 visa in October.

Does anyone know what type of questions will be asked of her?

We have been married for 9 years and have 2 children.

Any information would be great!

I think the biggest thing would be with the children. Did you go to the embassy and file CRBA and get US passports for them? If so, then they don't even need to be involved in this process. If not, is your name on both their Thai birth certificates?

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Daboyz, thanks for your reply.

Yes, both children have US passports (copies ready to show at Embassy if asked) & my name is on both Thai birth certificates including translations.

My wife is very nervous of what kind of questions they might ask.....as she thinks they might not clarify the questions in Thai.

Just wanted to know what kind of questions (might be only a few) since we have been married so long and actually have real children together.
