Hi Guys,

I recently complete my journey in becoming a US Permenant Residant. Now while i love my new home and all I have been offered a rather tempting job back home in Canada from a past employer. I want to find out what kind of a journey it would be to go back home and take my USC husband with me. Also want to know what will happen to my status in the US.

That being said I realize people here are not going to Canada but from Canada. I would appreciate if anyone had any good sites, such as this one, that i can gather information. Google has proven to only point me to lawer pages. :help:

You should PM "married my love" -- she just immigrated to Canada and is now in the process of moving back to the usa -- she would have relevant information for you. Look at her profile -- looks like it was faster to get to Canada then it does to come to the usa.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you'll still have to file an income tax return in the States, every year, even if you move back to Canada.

I believe that is only necessary for citizens, not PRs. But as her husband is going, he'll have to file a US return.

There is a Yahoo group for Canadian immigration http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/coming2canada/ but I don't know if they have spousal sponsorship immigration. Not even the CIC website has it linked anymore because they've been changing it.

Its a pain in the ####### process really, not any better, probably worse IMO, than USCIS.
