yikes.

long list, ah?

I only have 1 word of advice for you -

anything they're listing, that you have sent in prior, you need to send it again. Take this as an opportunity to spend MORE time to review each thing, as well, as if they are asking for it again, somethings wrong with what you did, prior (usually).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Geez, we just mailed ours off and I have never seen this requirement on the I-485...is it a new requirement for K visa applicants? I'm a K3 and our daughter is a K4.

na - those things off that RFE list are 'extreme' -

many things not required when submitting an I-485

but

if asked for in an RFE, must to provide.

RFE <> initial submittal, ever.

I don't know much about your situation to give you advice but it certainly sounds like they found something they don't like in your application processing i.e. background check or somepne reported fraud, etc.

All I can think is give them everything they ask exactly how they ask and if you don't have it prepare a statement why you don't have it.

It sounds like you either have a immigration officer who is in serious doubt of the validity of your relationship OR maybe you have a bizarre officer who is asking for bizarre things. Your list that you were given is extreme but just try your best to address them one by one. For example, if you can't supply photos of the US citizen's family at your wedding, explain why. Hopefully you can submit photos of you with his family at some point in time. If you don't have joint health insurance, explain why (maybe you have none, etc) but you can submit the joint car insurance. You probably only have a certain amount of time to work on this so make sure you get on it right away.

Sorry to hear about that; hope everything works out for you.

We've just submitted ours as well, well sent it off today actually, and we didn't see any instruction anywhere about the I-864 needing to be notarized !? Also when we sent in the cover letter for our application, I actually wrote it as the applicant, however only included a list of items, rather than any description of why my husband 'wishes to pursue this application'...hmmm strange...

Hope the 'rules' haven't been changed again.... we wish you the best, keep us posted .

please don't confuse the I-864, affadavit of support, with a 'regular affadavit'. It's not the same thing, at all.

The OP is being asked for many affadavits, different topics - is really wonky.

Did you arrive on a K1??

Whilst I disagree with the rudeness of Hopps post, I agree with the basic point which is , you NEED a qualified and EXPERIENCED immigration attorney, this does not seem like a normal AOS case at all
