OMG just received email for an RFE on my I-485. :wacko: Hope it isn't anything drastic they are looking for.

Sorry to hear that, what you can do is make a checklist from the I-485 instruction forms and double check it with the documents you submitted and then you will have an idea.

I already did that and I am not missing anything unless they want additional documents to prove bonafide marriage, but I sent pictures, marriage certificate, copy of my social security card showing I changed to my married name, copies of wedding cards, pictures of us prior to marriage, affidavits from family members about the relationship, ect. I guess I will just have to wait and see what they are asking for. I am not to worried yet and I am staying calm. No use getting all worked up until I see what they are requesting, RIGHT!!!

9-24-2010 - Received txt message and email for I-797

9-27-2010 - Received NOA1 for I-131, I-130, I-765 and I-485

11-19-2010 - Received email AP approved and EAD card in production.

11-19-2010 - Received interview letter - appt scheduled on 12-21-2010. :)

11-22-2010 - Received AP in mail

11-26-2010 - Received EAD in mail (Went on 11-29-10 for job interview and start on 12-6-10)

12-21-2010 - Went on Interview and was APPROVED!!!

Thats true no use getting worked up. You will find out eventually. I hope its not something you already sent cause you never know with USCIS.

The RFE sent was referring to I-485, USCIS don't ask for proof of a bonafide marriage for that application only the I-130 requires you to send proof of a bonafide marriage I believe. I got a RFE on my I-485 last month and it was for a medical examination. But it can also be for missing documents from an affidavit of support application etc. Good luck on your journey.

Nothing was wrong with the medical examination. I didn't send it in with my I-485 application, for some reason i thought they ask for it during the process.:-/

Star_boy - I see. Again, I am just hoping it is something simple that I can provide to USCIS on an immediate return over night so my process doesn't get held up to long. I am scheduled for my biometrics next Thursday.

Dont worry although I know its harder to do than say. :whistle:

I got a soft touch after I did the biometrics on Monday.

I was looking at the timelines in the May and April forums and they seem to receive their interview letter within 4 to six weeks after the biometrics so hopefully we will get our soon. :unsure:

As to what I have read they never seem to update the status re: the interview letter so we will just have to check the mail constantly :clock:

Yeah I agree with you, OCD is the right term! As soon as my hubby and I hear the mail man we race to the mailbox and check if we have something from USCIS! I think it's gonna be a daily basis. it's crazy lol.
