Great news!!! Emailed my lawyer last night and this morning she called to say that they had mailed out my EAD on Monday and I should be getting it in the mail today or tomorrow. I am so happy beyond words right now...Something is finally happening. :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: She said I should receive the interview letter in about two weeks!!!! Didnt get an email or anything from USCIS!

I'm a little curious to know how your lawyer knows for sure you will get your interview letter in two weeks.

He doesn't; he's guessing. :) S/he could be making an estimated guess on recent cases in the area. Anyway, congrats Mimi!! Hope it comes soon!!

My wife just got her EAD today (three days after she was approved for her GC at interview). Should we go to the local SSA office to get her Social Security card, or should we wait for her GC to arrive?

When you get the GC, she will be registered as an LPR and that wording will not be there and her current status will be correct (saves you 2 trips). Congrats!

Thanks for the advice. In the back of my mind, I was thinking that I'd read there would be something "different" about her SS card if we got it with just the EAD. Now you reminded me what it was.
