You must go in person.

First time getting your card must be done in person, I asked this directly at the SS office

After that you can do name change and others by mail if needed, but I suggest do it in person as well.

Yes...go in-person to your local Social Security office.

Take your passport and an official copy of your marriage certificate along with you.

You should be able to get a Social Security card in your married name.

If I was an immigrant and I had a Temporary EAD Stamp, then I would look for work. I would say 95% of the people who work in human resource have no clue about EAD cards or EAD Temporary stamps, and this shouldn't be a issue with getting employeed

I would argue that the stamps issued by the Federal Government allows me to work.

90 day's valid.. not all people can get a temporary EAD that is the only thing i knew with some person wanted to get temporary EAD when i was in line..(talking with my filipinos people)

yes it has expiration date 90'day.. oppps not all can able to get EAD> Im am the one lucky got one..(thats wat i know when i was in on boots waiting for my temporary EAD talking with my kababayan)

Ivy applied today and at first the lady at the SS office tell her she could not get SS card,but Ivy give her the forum i printed from here that says K1 can get SS card, and after reading the forum she told Ivy she have her card in 2 weeks. Thanks VJ

We waited until we were married so we did not have to make two trips to the SSN office. A lot of workers in the SSN offices do not k now the rules and regulations on immigrants as far as fiancee visas. When you doubt the person waiting on you at the SSN office...Demand to speak to the supervisor but maybe they will not know either. Remember this is a government agency.
