Sure hope you get the job Olivia! Sorry to hear about your laptop. Mine did the same thing exactly 2yrs after I bought it. Had to get

another one. My first laptop lasted 7 wonderful years. I think they are now only lasting approx 2 yrs at the most. Shame isn't it.

No, you didn't mention you saw the movie. How was it? I really would like to see it. I went on a boat ride

down the Nile and it was fantastic. It's very romantic and surprised the water was very cold...I had to FEEL the Nile. (L)

Now i'm jealous Mandy is going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knowin' she will love, love, love it.

Today should be a good day. I may get the job when I go in to meet the News Director at 10am. I have to drop my Mom off at the airport at 8:30am. She's going to Hawaii. Boo me who doesn't get to go. :(

The movie is an unrequited love story in a way. It's kind of like doing all the things we tourists do with our Egyptian chaperons and watching it in a movie. That's what it's mainly about. There is not a lot of character or plot to it other than that. There is one part in the movie on the boat ride where they discuss the Nile. You'd like it. Next time I think I'll let dh talk me into a boat ride. That might not be for several years though.

My laptop is still doing the same thing. If they're making them to only last two years it's a real shame for the money we have to spend on them. It's like buying a small cheap car to get from A to B. Hey what are we supposed to do with old laptops anyways when they're through?

Mandy you'll have to share pictures of your boat trip now.

Good morning ,,

Good luck with the job Olivia...

I have blisters all over my feet from wearing new shoes 2 days ago where I was forced to walk in them for 1 hour :(

Hubby now has more hobbies such as car racing and flying planes :) More spending than ever.. he is killing time..

The Green Card had been ordered so we just going to wait for it, plus he got the EAD in hand so now he is reading his books to possibly take the CDL for trucks next week so he can start looking for Jobs.

As for me , boring life at work with so much to do and less time to complete everything. I made a Zucchini stew last night but made a mistake and put some cinnamon instead of chili red pepper, hubby eat it with no complaint :) I have not told him the human error.

I been cooking a lot all of the Arabic food cause he does not like eating out. I am just running out of ideas. I need to pull out my Arabic cook book and start discover the hard dishes my mom used to make.

Have good day all

Happy HuMp DaY MENA!!!!

I also want to see that movie about Cairo, maybe when I return back to the states.

Olivia ~ good luck with the job interview today, I hope and pray it all goes well

Andrea ~ I seen your pics on FB and it looks like a lot of fun and you guys had a great time. I made reservations to go Oct 23 & 24 :)

Jeanne I'm so excited about the boat ride, I can't wait. I will definately post pics, that is, if I remember to bring my camera along  I'm sure I won't forget it, but Mohamed made a comment to me the other day that last time I was here I was taking pics every other second, from donkey's in the road to old run down buildings, and now I have hardly taken pics of anything. I don't feel so much like a tourist anymore, the things that once were shocking are now becoming normal to me lol.

Mohamed is planning on going for his medical tomorrow...FINALLY :bonk: The problem is we stay up all night and sleep all day, so by the time we are up and ready to do things, the doctors and other businesses are closing

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hi SandyNJack long time now see. Sending you best wishes on your ROC.

I got the job at the news station everybody after looking for a job for 9 months. I start Monday. It's part-time (25-30 hours a week) for the first year and no benefits. At this point I'm not picky. I finally got my foot in the door in my field and everybody has to start somewhere. My schedule is varied and they want me at their beck and call when a story breaks. They told us in college it wasn't going to be easy starting out in this career.

The irony is a news article was released just today saying that Idaho is number one in the nation for job creation now and a lot of new companies are looking to move to our state. This comes after a gallop poll in July saying that from Jan-June 2010 Idaho was in the bottom 10 for job creation. I wonder how we went all the way to #1 in two months?

Thank you Meriem! (L) Dh and I went to Olive Garden to have a celebration dinner. I love their unlimited soup, salad & bread-sticks. He had the chicken alfredo pizza, which I remember from the past was actually pretty good.

Well Everyone it seems my laptop keyboard has crashed for good. wacko.gif I can only be an observer of the internet with the point and click of my mouse on it now and I have limited access to my Mom's desktop computer. This bites because that laptop is only a year and a half old. I don't advise ever buying a Dell.
