Good news about the trip Mandy! Hola Andrea and Jenell! Happy what is left of Hump Day! A friend of mine who lives in Portland posted this crazy random camel fell down a sink hole story today on fb.

So that's my Hump Day contribution. It's a short 25 second video if you'd like to watch them rescue the camel from the sink hole in Portland.

Our interview is getting closer this Friday for the green card. I've got my GRE material to study finally. Unsure if I'm applying this year or next still after further talks and research. At least the house is all clean. My SIL is a licensed MD in the US now. She just has to get matched and placed for her fellowship or residency. I guess she may do her first year fellowship/residency at the same place she is doing her PhD in Baltimore if she's accepted there. They won't know anything until next March and they are going through the application process for a second year for her scholarship on her PhD at Johns Hopkins through the University back home. Things are in the works. No news back on the other job I was referred to and interviewed for the video editor position. Spoke with the man on Tuesday. He was very nice said it was very nice meeting with me but didn't have time right now to devote looking over my resume and cover letter. I guess he's swamped and in no hurry. Dh is going to Baltimore at the end of October for a few weeks. We've discussed that maybe if he has his green-card in time and he checks out the job market there and is able to get work he may say for me to make the move there and get work with him. We know Maryland is in the top 10 for job markets and I'm getting really depressed and frustrated here looking for work and keep applying after getting next to nothing in the past nine months since Idaho is in the bottom 10 for job market. I feel better about about being near his Sister and Brother-in-law because of their mentoring him in getting his medical licenses here when one of them has succeeded already. Baltimore though! Big city! The metro population is about a million more than where I grew up, Austin, TX, but the independent city population itself is a few thousand less than Austin, TX. So more surrounding population but less population in the actual city. Defiantly a different dynamic and diversity. I've never lived on the east coast before. I may wait a year while getting settled in Maryland to establish residency before applying for graduate studies because it would be much less expensive. While I enjoy the quiet of the country I'm ready to get back to the city life. Big life changes are possible! I feel ready and I am bursting to get out of Idaho. Nothing is set in stone though but at least we are having some options and we're pursuing some paths.

Good Morning MENA!! Happy Thursday!!

This time change really stinks!! I'm glad most things stay open 24hrs here or I would be in trouble. I think last night I finally went to sleep around 11pm which is 6am in Cairo and woke up around 3pm Cairo time. However, if I stay on this schedule I shouldn't have any trouble when I come back and need to adjust back to East Coast time

Olivia I pray everything works out for you in Maryland if that's where you want to go... you are right, some job markets are better than others.. my daughter has been trying to get a job since 2008 and her friend just moved to Pennsylvania and got a job just like that i don't get it, oh well.. maybe you do need this change.. if i could i would move from Birmingham, but i have an elderly mother and can't do it right now... it would be hard on her.. whatever you decide, you know you have our support .. Hey Mandy, girl I wish I was in Masr(Egypt).. tell Mohamed we can't wait for him to come to the states Charles sorry about your long hours and your tooth .. Hey everyone!!!

This has been the first chance I had to get on here today!

Mandy~ so glad you made it there ok!! Yeah on both trips to Egypt I ended up sleeping just about the whole day and staying up at night, except when we did the "tourist" things! Once hubby got here, I realized that he is just a night owl!!! LOL and here I thought it was because of the weather!!!

HG~whoo hoo!! Vacation!!! I bet you are excited! I hope you and Trina have a blast!

Amal~I hope you feel better!! Nothing worse than being nauseous!! Well, ok, having a baby was worse!! But this is just as bad!!!

I am so looking forward to this weekend!! Saturday is hubby's birthday and his first one here in the US so we are going to the magic kingdom for Mickeys not so scary halloween party!! We got costumes to wear, even conviced my 13 year old son to wear one too!!!

We aren't doing the scary ones though, I was worried about t he kids that are going to be there!

Hubby is going as a vampire, I am Cleopatra and son o'mine is a Jewish Rabbi!!!! What a mix!!!!

Thanks for asking how we're all doing Liz. We woke up to the news today about a shooter at Johns Hopkins where my SIL is a fellow there. Distraught shooter at Johns Hopkins We've been calling all morning to check on dh's sister to make sure she was ok because we read some doctors were shot and in surgery. The story has evolved now and we've heard from the family. Everyone was ok because they weren't at the hospital but one of the doctors shot was a good friend of dh's brother-in-law when he was a fellow there in the years prior. We all hope he is going to come out of surgery ok. It was very scary this morning.

Andrea have a wonderful weekend and wish your dh a Happy Birthday for us as well. Magic Kingdom sounds like a wonderful place to have it. I'm also having a Halloween themed B-day party this year. My b-day is at the end of Sept but most everyone will be gone so we're celebrating it in October this year. One year I celebrated it in August before I had to go back to school in September. That was when I turned 30. I've never done a Halloween themed b-day party before so this should be fun! Dh won't wear a costume he said so it won't be of the costume variety.

Not much going on with me, enjoying my time here in Cairo, but missing my babies!!

Andrea ~ Wish your hubby a happy birthday from Mohamed and I, and enjoy Disney. I was thinking of taking the kids to Mickey's Halloween, so please let me know how it is.

Olivia ~ I heard about the shooting yesterday at Johns Hopkins, its such a tragedy. Im happy to hear your SIL and family are ok. Its one thing to read and hear about stories like this, but when it has a direct impact on you or your family & friends it is very scary, and makes us realize how precious life is.
