The contract was for 1 year, so they have agreed to let him terminate it 6 months early, but we will have to pay. Will the embassy give us a hard time about extended our NOA2 approval until he gets back to Egypt in 6 months?

Mandy, I really don't know what Cairo will do but perhaps you should email them and ask. At least you will know without

more stress. Just explain the situation he faces and maybe they will be lenient. Best of luck!

Morning MENA~

Well, got the Tuesday blahs. Shouldn't feel that way since I actually got to sleep in for 30 minutes this morning, but boy what a difference of 30 mins later on the road makes!!! Wow people with their road rage!!!!

I hope everyone is having a nice day today. Mandy, I am sure they can work something out until Mohamed can make it to Egypt. I would send them an email and let them know up front about him working in KSA and not able to get his passport.

Jeanne~how's the weather out your way?? Did you ever make it out to dinner the other night?:star:

I guess Jenell and Olivia must be busy working away!!

Have a great day everyone! Meh, I'm sitting on a heating pad at work. I pulled a muscle in my back that just wont stop aching!

Agh, the pains of getting old!!!

Good Morning MENA, happy Tuesday!!

Jeanne and Andrea, I already emailed the embassy and now just waiting to hear back from them. I have read somewhere on here that the embassy's usually have no problem extending the NOA2 approval as long as you communicate with them and they know you're still interested...lets hope this is the case.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Work has been hectic as we're getting ready for sweeps! Last Saturday was my first Game Day and that was crazy busy with reporters in the field and getting live feeds. My basic training is over and now comes all the detailed training. I'm really enjoying my job. A new news producer just started so next week I'll be shadowing for news producer as a fill in. Today is my last day of the work week and then I'm off for the next 3 days! The 14th-19th I'm house sitting for the haunted house again. shocked.gif A haunted house in October seems kind of extra scary but I hope I don't girlwerewolf2xn.gif while staying there. I won't be alone though as dh is going with me. We get paid for it and we save on gas money as it's about 5 minutes away from where I work.

I also have thrilling news today from dh. He was accepted for observer-ships at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the departments of cardiology, radiology and nuclear medicine! We are able to extend his plane ticket without problem for only a $20 fee. We'll be apart for a few months longer but it's for the betterment of both our lives that he is able to get this experience at a learning hospital in the US since there is not much else in our state. There are so many good points about it that I'm really excited! He'll get to be with family. They'll help him with studying for his USMLE steps. One of the steps can only be taken in 6 cities in the US and one of those is in D.C. which is an hour train ride from Baltimore so he may take two steps there. As the new person at the news station I'm working the holidays so I'll miss out being with him anyways. It just all works out for the better in the end. I am really happy he followed up with one of my suggestions and it's working out well.

Happy Halloween All!

Happy Hump Day ladies and Charles! (F)

Been to the hospital two times in a week.. First time for a flu and second to The Gynecologist.. Let's just say I can't wait to be done with the piles of medicine I'm taking and feel normal again!!

I am still not added to John's Health Insurance plan since we had to trouble with SS and I don't have my SSN yet.. My hospital bill for the flu visit was $940.. The doctor didn't even take any tests or anything.. I knew what I had and he did once I walked into his office, I just needed an effective medicine to get rid of the flu/soar throat symptoms faster that's all.. And then when they $940, I was like what?!!!! Please, anyone tell me if that's normal at all!

Since we are heading to Egypt after the holidays.. I would really like to get a temporary job that ends right after the holidays.. Does anyone have any input on how I can do that? And what's the minimum time a company would hire you here?

Nancy and Sharifah, mabrook on your pregnancies!!!! I am so happy for both of you!!! :D I remember when Sharifah couldn't wait to get pregnant in the long wait and couldn't wait for Ahmed's arrival! Now, it happened and she's waiting for a baby on the way! How exciting :D

Kelly, Salma is a beautiful name! (L)

Lisa (Sandrila), I am so happy to see you post in MENA again! I missed you! (F)

Olivia, glad you are enjoying your new job and things are moving along for you and your hubby!

Tamara, great news about the new house!

Andrea, congrats on Sameh's DL! I can't wait to get mine! :)

Jeanne, glad Wael's Citizenship process is going fast! Then you'll be done with immigration forever!

Mandy, good luck with the rest of the process!

Amal and Staashi, I hope your families arrive to the US safe! :star:

I hope I didn't forget anyone.. If I did, it's not on purpose.. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

Simply beautiful weather this morning. Cool, birds singing, rabbits looking for breakfast,

and the sunrise a mixture of colors! The little hummingbirds are back. Beautiful sight!

Today will be 94...still hot and still pool weather.

I am so happy for the miners. Watched some of the rescue last night . Wael and I

were crying and jumping up and down along with everyone!! We certainly watched a

miracle. Was so nice to see man as he should be helping his fellow man.

Aya, happy you are feeling better. Best of luck with your job search!

Great news Olivia!! Am so happy for Waleed!

Tammy, have you selected your colors yet for your new home? Knowin' you and

Adam are just thrilled!

Amal, have fun with the family!

Have a good day everyone!
