Interesting update today from my weekly conversation with an immigration officer today at USCIS. He gave me the typical "case still pending" speech and then when I told him I was having to call every week to get status because I was unable to track my MSC receipt number he said, let me fix that for you.

He added a note to my case and sent it over to the data processing people, told me to try to check online but allow up to 2 weeks for the receipt to become available in automated systems.

What a crazy ride this is. Maybe I will get that NOA2 in the mail by the time I am able to track this petition online. ha.

take care

I dont know how, but I am GOING to find out where I am at and why I can view my status online today!

I'm super jealous of your upcoming trip, btw. I loved Providencia, and San Andres has it's own charm once you get out of the city. Have a great time, but don't try to drink the water! :)

Thanks for the info...I guve up on trying to get information, because it truly wont affect WHEN I get approved...lol

As for the jealousy...yeah, I would expect it! Unfortunately, as I type tonight, it looks like I will change that proposed trip because I just bought two apartments in Barranquilla and will be moving my wife and family into them rather than taking off on a beachside retreat with her. Oh well...push the San Andres visit off to January!

As for the water...yep...I always suffer from it after about a week, but by then I am heading home anyway! I just cant resist enjoying all the locally-made juices!
