It is hard to get a tourist visa for someone married to a US citizen living in the USA, because they will assume you want to live with him in the USA. You would need to show very strong tied to your home country (job, university enrollment, close family staying home), and explain why you two, as a married couple, do not want to live together (this is strange to Americans), ie why you are not applying for an immigrant visa or he comes to live with you. It's not that expensive though, and the process is relatively short, so worth a try if you have the money.

good.gif Any tourist visa that you might get by lying about the marriage would come back and bite you later

when you apply for spouse visa or apply for AOS after staying in the US on the tourist visa.

It would bite you by having the visa or AOS denied.

Another USC member was shocked by having been caught in a lie when asked in the AOS interview if

the non-USC spouse had ever lied - the lie was not telling immigration officials that there was the

INTENTION of coming to the US to marry the USC during a tourist visa interview.

Hi,

Be more specific and elaborate.Maybe we all can help you with the answer.

where are you now? where did you get married? and where is your other half? have you not seen each other for 2 years?

The authorities are very fair in genuine cases..you dont need to worry or hide anything.

Cheers

To get a visitor visa you need to show strong proof that you will return to Morocco. Having a US spouse will make that difficult.

If you only want to go to the US for a visit the interviewing officer will want to know why you are not wanting to live in the US with your spouse.

If you want to go and live with your spouse then your spouse must file a petition for you to be granted a visa to enter the US as an immigrant.

invitation? usually an invitation is some optional thing to use in conjunction with applying for a tourist visa.

did you, instead, wish to immigrate to USA? If so, ask yer husband to file an I-130 petition to the lockbox in Chicago.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
