if i live in north carolina, is there a certain lock box that i send the i-130 to? and do i drop the money order in along with the rest of the package or do i mail it to the department of homeland security? thank you for any info!

The I-130, fees (in the form of check or money order), photos and supporting documents must be mailed together in one package to the USCIS, not Homeland Security. The fees, however are payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

If you are using regular postal service, mail it to:

If you are using Express N+Mail and courier deliveries, mail it to

If you want to receive an e-mail and/or a text message that your Form I-130 has been accepted at a USCIS Lockbox facility, complete Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance and clip it to the first page of your application.
