Likewise, you guys have a history of claiming someone is wrong but never actually proving them wrong. Then when that fails, you result to personal #######. Common sense dictates it's not Americans alone that are benefiting from any stimulus. Unemployment stats back this view up.

However, back to the original point, let's put the stimulus in perspective. AUS is investing $43 Billion to provide FTTH to over 93% of homes, the rest will be serviced by wireless or satellite. Using this government owned wholesale network, other companies can them lease this utility and provide their internet services, with speeds up too 1Gbit/s. Once again, they lead the world, while we have Fios or Comcast to choose from.

You're trying to jam a square peg into a round hole.

Knowledge is derived from data. Knowledge is not derived from feeling.

This is basic chit, but I guess when you run a trinket stand at the airport you don't need to know that sorta stuff.

Actually observation is a fundamental facet of science and engineering. However, you have to do more in life than swap HDDs with bad sectors earning $150K to know that.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

You're right, I prefer rob's world of if the stats are not collected, nor are they published by like-minded sources, then someone's opinion is fabricated or just that, an opinion.

You clearly don't understand statistics, or the importance of methodology. Just because you talked to someone, whose uncle is a police officer and he says that 90% of _____________ commit __________________, doesn't mean it's a valid statistic. It's an opinion that is completely unsubstantiated, much like the drivel that you like to post here.

Of course. Why do you observe? To collect data.

I'll give you an example.

Wrong (also known as "The Boo Yah Method")

Observation: I see a camel.

Conclusion: I'm in Egypt!

Right

Observation: I see a camel.

Observation: It's inside a cage.

Observation: There is a giant lizard across the pathway from me! Wow!

Observation: I was at a zoo once and it looked a lot like this.

Observation: My GPS says I'm in the Bronx.

Observation: The visitors center confirms, I'm in the Bronx Zoo.

Conclusion: I'm in the Bronx.

How is your 'you are wrong' any more valid? You and the handful of #### on here that share your shitty views still fail to answer this rudimentary question.

Spare me the facts argument, as I have posted more than 2 dozen internationally recognized peer-reviewed sources regarding things like best countries and you guys still don't find these worthy.

I don't dismiss it out of hand, I dismiss it because you are missing the context in which you post them, or more specifically, lack thereof.

Riiight Riight, unlike the awesome highly-educated A.J method. Like the Rob method of basically I am right and you are wrong.

You guys have illustrated time and time again that when the demands you make of others are met, you will move the goal posts again. Ironically, never ever actually holding yourself accountable to these same demands you make of others.

I don't dismiss it out of hand, I dismiss it because you are missing the context in which you post them, or more specifically, lack thereof.

Of course, I always miss it but you handful with lock-step, linked-minded and highly predictable views on everything get it.

BY, if you don't understand how to apply context when using statistics to make your point, that's your problem. Cherry picking bits from reports to suit your argument is just lazy.

BY, if you don't understand how to apply context when using statistics to make your point, then you might have bigger comprehension issues to deal with.

One would think the context of a stat like over ~55% of gang bangers or over 80% of illegal aliens are Hispanic is quite self explanatory. Evidently to you it means nothing. Or even the homicide rate of x demographic versus the rest [combined] being 9 times higher is means something, to you guys I simply don't get that either.

You are right, don't take my world for it. I'd hit the international forums, as there is clearly a hell of a lot more than the 1% of the world's population [lib yanks] that apparently does not get it either.

I get it though, libs like to cover up stats to reinforce their flawed belief that we are all the same, differing stats clearly illustrate the horseshit of their own ideological driven generalization. It's why anyone suggesting and illustrating otherwise is branded a racist from the get go.

You show me where I have posted stats that are wrong and I will retract my stats and admit I am wrong.

You not agreeing with the experiences of people who work directly in a field is your prerogative, but does not change reality or their experience. Likewise, maybe I should disregard your own experience then, which ironically I have not. Also why I have never said Rob you are taking out of your azz, when you have discussed something related to your direct line of work.

Sorry BY, I really don't care enough to actually sort through your posts. You are more than welcome to, and I'll address them as I have time to.

Cool man, so innocent until proven guilty for even the the biggest scumbags of America's criminals, just not for people who simply disagree with you.

BY - wow ! how quickly your thread denigrates into a collection of personal attacks against you.

I was hoping to read more of your opinion about any 'infrastructure bank',

but you seem to be drowning in some noise?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Darnell, you appear to be quite interested in U.S. infrastructure. This might not be the correct forum for you. You might want to check out a more appropriate website like http://www.americainfra.com/. There is good information there.
