Moderation is only invoked when you are perceived to break TOS. One would think an airport trinket vendor of your impeccable intellect would do a better job of staying within the limits of TOS.

As I said, moderation will be invoked by me posting a handful of words. Whereas, nothing you have said ever said in four years has ever made me invoke anything, only my responses to you and about you have.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Repaving should be paid for by the user. Yes, this means adding the actual cost to fix and maintain roads to the cost of gasoline, in order for the user to actually pay for the wear and tear.

Many states pay for the roads via other taxes and tariffs on the USERS. As for gasoline, sorry, not certain of any 'state tax appropriating' at the pump.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Self-righteous BY? This is a new character you're playing, I haven't seen you in this role before.

That's your idea of what it is to pwn someone? You are a little out of touch there BY.

Owning someone is subject to perception, especially on here. Some posters here seem to think someone's mere rebuttal equates to owning.

The tax is clearly not enough, considering the roads here are probably the crappiest I have driven on out of any first world. It's also why in all my life driving abroad, I have never had or heard of someone replacing a windshield. Already on my forth here. Regularly have to get my wheels balanced and aligned too.

The roads are full of potholes, dirty, littered and dangerous to drive on. Which clearly illustrates not enough tax is being collected to actually pay for their maintenance.

It is your responsibility as a member of this community to notify moderation when you see a TOS violation.

Great, can we stay on topic for change?

I was on topic before you introduced that red herring about illegals.

It's not red herrings at all actually. As illustrated many many times before, there is a reason no other first world country has 20 million illegal aliens roaming [willy-nilly] in their country.

Anyone with a basic notion of economics will understand why financially this is a drain on America. For the rest, just look at other first world countries killing it for reasoning and a layman explanation.

Your claim was that the guys working on these ARRA projects were illegal. You did not back it up, you simply made the claim and then ran with.

Your claim was that the guys working on these ARRA projects were illegal. You did not back it up, you simply made the claim and then ran with.

Likewise, you guys have a history of claiming someone is wrong but never actually proving them wrong. Then when that fails, you result to personal #######. Common sense dictates it's not Americans alone that are benefiting from any stimulus. Unemployment stats back this view up.

However, back to the original point, let's put the stimulus in perspective. AUS is investing $43 Billion to provide FTTH to over 93% of homes, the rest will be serviced by wireless or satellite. Using this government owned wholesale network, other companies can them lease this utility and provide their internet services, with speeds up too 1Gbit/s. Once again, they lead the world, while we have Fios or Comcast to choose from.

You're right, I prefer rob's world of if the stats are not collected, nor are they published by like-minded sources, then someone's opinion is fabricated or just that, an opinion.
