Hello you!

Me and my Fiance are about to fill in the I-129F, G-325a and G-1145 form.

However, there is one thing I am not sure of...

In the package that we are going to send anytime this week, to start the K-1 process, has also to have proof in it.

I do have proof about our relationship; flight itiniries, boarding passes, hotel receipts, receipt of Engagement ring & pictures..

My question is, do I have to send the original proof in this package? Like the original receipts and pictures??

And what about at the K-1 Interview?? If I send the package with the original proof, I don't have original proof to show at the inerview.

So what should my Fiance and I have to do? Send copies in this package and show the original documents (proof) at the interview, or should he and I send original documents in the package and show the copies at the Interview???

This part I do not understand...

For the packet send copies and for the interview you can bring the originals (though they probably won't even request it, it's nice to have just in case.) Sending originals isn't recommended because in the event that it gets lost in the post or in the USCIS then you'll be stuck.

definitely send copies. You don't want to be stuck without the originals at the interview.

The only documents in your package that should be originals are the forms that require original signatures. Everything else should be a copy. Keep the originals, bring them along on the interview. Make a couple copies of your package before you send it.

Copies, copies, copies...

Keep the originals of any evidence and your proof of citizenship. As mentioned, only the letters of intent, the two G325As and the I129F petition form itself should be sent to USCIS as originals because they contain signatures and, of course, the all important check or money order made out to U.S. Department of Homeland Security - no abbreviations accepted.

Make 3 copies of the entire package - one to submit with the required originals and two for yourself (in case USCIS asks you to reconstruct the petition, you have an exact duplicate.)

If you have access to a scanner, I recommend scanning anything and everything you send to or receive from USCIS and keeping an electronic version on hand as well.

what about the Cover Letter and the declaration Letter that he and I both have to sign and date? (letter we have to type about how we've met and all that)..

Anything that requires a signature needs to be copied AND THEN SIGNED (so you have multiple copies but all have original signatures.)
