What is my residency when booking flights when waiting for AOS process?

While booking flights from US to Europe for a few days of necessary travel, what is my residency?

The last place where I was resident (as far as the government accepted it) was Ireland, but that was only until last November.

I've been in US since, and we're still in the process of AOS (arrived here on multiple entry K-3). So, until I get the GC I don't think US is technically what would list me as a resident.

(I do have the K-3 and the AOS file numbers along with the date for the interviews but I don't think those make me a resident).

So what do I put for the residency when I purchase tickets?

US with "I don't have a residency card yet"? (one option that is available in details)

Ireland? Even if I haven't lived there since November, and my passport nor the travel destination is Ireland.

The country where the passport was issued, nm I haven't lived there in many many years?

I would put that your a resident of the US, since your living here now.

Since you came in on a K-3, and the AOS in process - should be no issue.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I think I'll go with that. My husband thought it'd be that too - it just feels awkward to live somewhere and kind of be resident and yet not be resident. His thoughts were that if I'd used Ireland (the last residency before moving to US) it could confuse them at the border, since I definitely am not living there any more.

(Or may be I'm too used to the difference between the 'residence' and 'domicile' policy that's in use at leat in Italy.. so living somewhere, unless it's officially approved it's just the domicile).
