Why is it ok to offend everyone else but muslims?

First of all WHO said it was offensive to muslims? Some overpaid US govt employee???

Secondly, why is profiling and making bigoted remarks against anyone wrong unless it's against a muslim?

You see what this kind of thing causes? Muslims didn't have anything to do with this but now we are blamed for it.

It doesn't matter what race, religion, culture or creed you are, there is always blame of something put on somone by someone else no matter who you are. Muslims are not the only ones in the world who have to endure bigotry and profiling in this world. Yes, I do agree, they have to deal with a lot of it, and it is very wrong, as is any racial profiling of any race.

So then do we wipe out all mention of our non-American heritage? I've tried to do that. People ask me what "nationality" I am, and I say American even though I know full well what they are getting at. Then the response is, "No, but where is your family from?". "Ummm, America." "But where did they come from originally?" Blah blah blah....

I feel that Blacks in America have just as much of a right to call themselves African-American as, say, someone whose parents immigrated from Japan has a right to call himself Japanese-American. Or should that person just insist that he is American only?

As for the cat thing...I'll refrain. I just think that we'd have a more tolerant attitude since we are marrying foreigners...I mean, it 's just about respect.

that's true... but I don't see hindus torching buildings whenever someone poke fun at their religions. Besides, where were the muslims protesting the terrorists when they torched those danish embassies? I don't mean to sound racist, but I don't see many muslims (aside from american muslims) do anything to help the world view of their religion. if that makes any sense
