Is it just me, or is this kind of overwhelming?

Hope you post a pic or two of the wedding!! And relax...once you get into the paper work, it's really not that bad. I was surprised how quickly everything got organized. I kept 3 piles going at the time, one for AOS, one for EAD and one for AP and read what each of them needed.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow!

Congratulations - I hope you have a wonderful wedding!

For the AOS what I found really helpful was to make a separate list of what I needed for each application - the AOS, the EAD, the AP and the affidavit of support. Then, as I got what I needed for each one I just crossed it off and put it in the appropriate pile. Then it was just a matter of putting the piles together, filling out the forms and sending them off (with the cheque, of course) in the same envelope. It appears overwhelming at first because you are actually filling out four different forms - but it is all actually very straight forward. You'll do fine - so don't worry about any of it until after the wedding and the honeymoon.

Congrats on the wedding!

To calm your nerves - this is probably the BEST post I've found with any and all information you could possibly need for AOS, and I plan on following it 100% - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/

Other than that, try and de-stress and enjoy your day tomorrow!!!! :)

Have a fabulous wedding day!! :D

AOS is not as complicated or stressful as you might think. You have 95% of what you need already from the K-1 process, it's just putting everything together.

We had nothing abnormal about our case either... Just sayin'. Other than my husband's jerkface of a boss fired him when I arrived here so we had to get a co-signer.

Either way, like people said, just keep separate piles for each thing, and it's easier to break it down.

Wow, thank you so much guys! I can't even think about how I would go through this process, or would have gone through the K-1 process without this site and everyone on this forum!

Thanks again!

and that is why I love this site. Everyone is so helpful and full of encouragement and information. It really helps having people who have been thru this experience and are willing to share to make it seem painless (somewhat)

Have a wonderful relaxing wedding. Know that when you start the process of gathering everything for the AOS that you have the people at visajourney.com to rely on. I would not have gotten thru any of this process thus far - still somewhat intact - if it was not for the help of everyone here.

It's not you ... it's overwhelming. :hehe: I like Katherine's advice. It's not hard, it's just confusing. And time consuming ... I found it was a lot of running around, making copies, getting yet more passport pictures, etc. And cross your fingers that you don't get an interview! That's easy too, but stress you don't need!

Good luck!
