Religion is right up there with Dracula, werewolves, elves, trolls, leprechauns, tooth fairy, santa clause, etc....

Jewish people in general do well in life, are the wealthiest religion as a group yet tend to be of a religious bent. Basically everything opposite of what all your studies show.

I disagree with the statement that they "tend to be of a religious bent". Being Jewish

is more of a cultural thing than a religious thing.

Even in Israel, most people are not religious. 22% of Israeli Jews define themselves as

"non-religious traditionalists" and 44% as "secular". Between 15% and 37% of Israelis

identify themselves as either agnostics or atheists.
