Email Notification or Postal Mail

The NVC has confirmed that I am setup for email notification in my case - updates of any kind should be emailed to me and the beneficiary.

The first notification I had received for the fee bills was sent via email. I had to request them to email it to me again even though they told me it had already been mailed.

However, on Saturday I received an RFE Letter from the NVC. It was a False RFE for the DS-230 package, presumably triggered by the acceptance of my AOS package (I-864 package).

I asked the NVC operator why I got the letter via postal mail - but she told me had no idea and that I was setup for email notification.

My timeline with the NVC is a bit different since I removed my attorney (somewhat in the middle of the process) - so I'm wondering if that has any effect on how I am receiving correspondence from the NVC. Should I ask them to remove my email address from the system and then add it back again - perhaps that will trigger their system to email me ?

Ok nevermind regarding this question.

I received the checklist letter via email just today from the NVC.

The previous letter via postal mail I received seems to simply confirm or validate my request to remove the attorney.
