Sooo,

I am the beneficiary, So up to date... We have received the AOS and IV Bill from the NVC and paid online and completed the DS 3032 choice of agent form and sent off! We still havent got authorization/instruction packet from the NVC yet to continue further. I know now that we can call and chase. Right now my wife (Petitioner) is working on our co-sponsor. Should take a week or so! My question is...what do we do next? please dont send links because I'm confussed as hell??

What needs to be mailed to the NVC exaclty?? From what I read on the guides page my wife needs to send the NVC the completed form I-864 and bill receipts with cover sheets. Is that it or am I wrong? Or must I send my DS 230 to the NVC as well? Totally lost and need calming down!! I feel like a sitting duck!! I have everything ready. even police records!!

Go to Wiki on this website and search for LingChe shortcut - this gives you all information broken down by either petitioner does or beneficiary does so you know what to do when.

if you are following the 'online payment portal' -

it gives you some status, of sorts...

ie -

when there's a 'thing' marked 'PAID' in the portal -

then you'll see a barcoded coversheet link -

download the barcoded coversheet

and

print it out.

THAT'S yer indication to 'send stuff in' to NVC - WHEN yer able to 'print that coversheet'. You can send stuff in, same day.

The instructions on 'what to do' are IN that coversheet.

There are 2 coversheets, one for the AOS/I-864, another for the IV/DS-230 .

The AOS fee bill is first, the IV fee bill 'comes along' later, all to the portal.

The IV fee bill will show 'to be paid' when the DS-3032 is added to the casefile, or if you have a lawyer with G-28 form filed with the I-130 -

the IV fee bill shows up (usually) with the AOS fee bill, at the same time.

I'd post a link, but you mentioned you not want a link.

So, keep yer eyes peeled for 'stuff' inside the online payment portal - usually 1 to 3 days after payment, the fee bill is marked as 'paid' inside the portal, and right then/there, that coversheet is available to be 'saved to disk' and/or printed.

Check the portal daily - note the 'update times' are at 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM EST (so check around 3:05 PM and 10:05 PM) - on some days, you'll have a nice surprise.

USUALLY, when utilizing that 'availability to print a coversheet' - there is no other 'notification' from NVC. People using the payment portal want SPEED, so they shove things in at the first available moment (availability of coversheet is the first available moment, btw).

If you and yer spouse wanted to 'wait on NVC' - I suppose you could wait - but be prepared to wait for up to 3 months on 'each thing' at NVC - NVC DOES FOLLOW a POSTAL NOTICE schedule - it's about 3 months per thing. Many people find this 'wait' to be distateful, wish to be re-united sooner, so they monitor the payment portal, and sling stuff into NVC, without waiting on any postal notification.

---

For immediate next - I suggest

--monitor payment portal, print off barcoded coversheet for AOS when it's available, then send off I-864 when it's ready.

--YOU (the beneficiary) collect yer civil documents, and discuss with yer spouse IF yer gonna send a DS-230 packet to yer USC Spouse, or if you will send it off to NVC directly. (I'd give you a link for the DS-230 stuff, but hei...)

Good Luck !
