CR1 instead of IR1 Stamp

It seems as though my call would have still been too late as the greencard was issued on August 30th and I didn't realize the stamp in his passport was wrong until Sept. 7th. Hello. It's been years since this process so I don't remember all the details but we sent the greencard back and he was issued the correct IR status. The process took less than a month. Hope that helps.
